    Most matches it’s the pox bursters that damage me. There are just so many variables in a pub game. Team mates don’t shoot or push them and explode into group. Try and push them and some one shoots them.

    Trappers need to be higher on that list.You said it yourself, it's about mobility. A trapper shuts that down completely.
    If you get hit at the wrong time, it can be an almost instant death...which is a problem given their projectile is buggy and goes through other mobs, their lights are often easily missed in the chaos and their sound cue might as well happen after they shoot...bonus points for being dragged through a horde onto fire.

    • @fredrickwheeler6852
      @fredrickwheeler6852 Před 5 měsíci +1

      I totally get where you're coming from. Trappers are a constant source of downs, deaths and even wipes. But I have to disagree, and here's why.
      1) Trappers mostly only suck because of their frequency, bugginess, and a little bit of jank. You'll dodge 15 of them but the one that gets you is really frustrating and impactful. But they're not actually that dangerous alone.
      2)With the exception of bulwarks, every enemy listed higher than trapper can be dangerous on it's own. A single trapper is never dangerous unless you're out of position. Being surprised by a burster, flamer, grenade, or sudden snipe is just as bad as a net, has longer lasting effects, and is harder for your allies to correct than just freeing you.
      3) If you just reflexively dodge immediately after hearing the net sound, you'll dodge it at least 75% of the time. Surprise nets aren't actually that hard to dodge, and situations that make them harder to dodge apply to everything above them too.
      3) Trappers feel worse than they are because a lot of teammates don't properly prioritize rescuing allies. But that's not actually a trapper issue.
      Trappers *feel* like they should be higher, but everything above them deserves to be above them (except maybe bulwarks). I think I'd move it to A tier, and maybe ahead of the beast of nurgle. But it's placement is pretty spot on to me.
      *edit* In hindsight, I should add that trappers do feel a lot harder to dodge on ogryn due to size. So anyone who mains ogryn thinking they should be higher on the list... I feel you.

    The worst thing about bombers is when they start landing grenade after grenade in a chokepoint in a way where you can't get an angle to see them without stepping into the fire, and then you're just sitting there waiting for them to stupidly run through the door into the room with you to throw the next grenade. So annoying, such a waste of time.

  • @PsyCrowX

    Stagger or stun will stop a flamers attack, if you are fast they won’t even complete the first line of puddles. Running up to them and deleting is still preferred but if you have ranged stun/stagger switching fast can buy your team the needed time. Psyker Surge Staff works very well.
    Edit: You say it multiple Times, but it worth saying again. Space is a valuable resource in the Tide games, as long as you have space to move nearly every single dangerous situation can be defused, its when you get pinned when the real danger starts.

  • @BorisBlade7
    @BorisBlade7 Před 5 měsíci +3

    Disablers like trappers and dogs, while usually ok to deal with when they are alone, can be a nightmare in a horde. You can fight thru those other mobs, but if one of these jumps/shoots into the crowd at you, then you are goin down if you dont have space to dodge or if you cant see them. Those are def higher up than damage dealers. Those disablers cause far more wipes than the ogryns, esp in pub groups. Netted thru a crowd and its instant death from full as all that stuff now hits you all at once. And you often dont even see them 10 mobs deep. Personally my nemesis is bursters, I would kill for some burster damage reduction on curios. Always getting those in the back, or jumping out of a door or around a corner or whatever else they can come up with that makes them impossible to see and do anything about until its too late.

    Great guide for priority targets! I do hate beasts of nurgle the most. While the chaos beasts are a pain to hit the weak spot of, at least I don't have to hope my team takes aggro to be in a postion to hit the weak spot. Hope they do implement a weakspot in mouth, it'll make it them less annoying. Also, Orgyn players with shields in pubs are pretty much guarenteed to aggro Daemon hosts, even if they can be avoided.

    • @fredrickwheeler6852
      @fredrickwheeler6852 Před 5 měsíci

      It is worth shooting the mouth. Idk if it's mechanically a weakspot, but ranged damage to the tongue does the same damage as ranged weakspot hits (both do 100% of dmg). You won't consistently hit the tongue every time, but it can be better than everyone trying to get behind it at once.
      The head also takes slightly more damage than the body, so hitting the mouth does more ranged damage than aiming for the weakspot and getting blocked by it's body as it turns.

But on my ogryn and psyker I really appreciate anyone else who can deal with snipers. riot shield + kickback kind of works, and telekine + smite can make space for allies, but I'm usually relying on a teammate to finish them off.
      I've had a few pinches where my psyker had to weave in and out and rush down the sniper with melee and it's not my favorite course of action, lol

    *Poxbursters* are horrific when they jump into the Team, I try to rush when I hear one and push him whilst away from others, when possible.
    *Flamers* on Damnation+ just do so much Damage, they're for sure High Prio, you die in like 2 seconds.
    *Sniper & Crushers* I'd say depends on the Area and Build you have, a Bubble Psyker can easily avoid them, whilst a *Crusher* in the middle of a Horde front and back can be tough.
    (Also be careful at the Doors you can not go through but enemies can, if *Flamers or Burster* are behind it, they can shoot through the wall/door)
    Since we are talking General, I'd put *Reapers into S*, they take a lot of hits and can stun-lock you when not careful, you can mitigate with Bubble or cover, but same for Snipers.
    *Gunners* can be a threat when you have a dropdown and there's a lot of Gunners further away and Crushers or Bulwarks, or a Horde, not allowing you to get away (very rare)

  • @Sonlirain
    @Sonlirain Před 5 měsíci

    There's one more thing about the trapper.
    Not only does he drag you away from the team but every time someone gets hit by him he's effectively downed because someone has to run up to the netted person and take the net off.
    Sure it takes only a second but a second might be too long when there's also a bunch of gunners a flamer a horde and a BoN is repeatedly puking everywhere.
    Meanwhile with a dog(Or mutant to some degree) all you need to do is grab your ranged option or blitz and shoot in its general direction to kill it or knock it off as long as the dog isn't surrounded by a swarm of crusher and bulwark bodyguards.

    • @vokkera6995
      @vokkera6995 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Trauma is alright but I find voidstrike to be more predictable in finishing off targets, when it’s kind of a gamble on the trauma. Purgatus works well if you’re shielding and cleaning up hordes with it, but I still think voidstrike comes out more consistently in performance because it lets you be more flexible

    • @fredrickwheeler6852
      @fredrickwheeler6852 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@vokkera6995 everyone's different but I actually like voidstrike the least. In all fairness I haven't gotten one with surge but I find voidstrike inconsistent too. Trauma at least knocks things around and hits large mixed groups of crusher/mauler/rager. Trauma is pretty bad on monstrosities, but works great on everything else. Well, everything except very distant snipers and bombers.
      I also switch quite fluidly into melee though, and find illis V and duelist IV to both be much more consistent for finishing things off, so I like to knock them around and then kill them while they're staggered.
      I share your take on purgatus. It's fine and is good at wiping clusters but I find it leaves me vulnerable and it's usefulness to be sporadic.

    • @fredrickwheeler6852
      @fredrickwheeler6852 Před 5 měsíci +1

      known bug, been around for a while. Sometimes the fuse sound doesn't even go off. As I understand, it's got to do with how many audio cues are playing at once. Basically the more that's on the field the more it struggles to play all of the audio cues. Which sucks because that's when you need them most.
      What I hate most is that it seems to prioritize dogs and muties above everythinng else and I could really do with a lot less l mutant screams and a lot more burster/trapper prioritization.

I'm trying to take care of the bulwarks, and get trapped. Never even heard the damn thing! Manage to get picked up, right as my only ally left gets slammed and a grenade dropped on his body. Dropped both my remaining fire grenades (zealot) and managed to bonk the plague to death. Stealth and go sprinting through the map to rez all three teammates 😂

  • @fredrickwheeler6852
    @fredrickwheeler6852 Před 5 měsíci

    No disagreement with your take on the beast of nurgle, but I wanted to clarify something. According to Gameslantern, the mouth kind of is a weak spot.
    Weakspot takes 100% dmg from range and 140% from melee. Head takes 50% from range and 90% from melee. Rest of the body (aside from the tail which is highly resistant) takes 40% from range and 70% from melee.
    The tongue, however, takes 100% damage from both melee and ranged. I don't know whether it counts as a weakspot for on weakspot hit effects, and frankly I think if it doesn't then that's stupid. But my point is that while shooting the weakspot is great, if you're not going to be meleeing it, it's frequently better to just unload into the mouth/head than it is to try and get behind it. Both because it does decent enough damage and because it makes it easier for those trying to flank it to actually flank it. If everyone flanks then no one is flanking.

    Bombers and flamers are the worst 😁 especially wehn they combine or group up. Find a high ground, like standing on a cover, barrel, ect ... Snipers are not really S-tier. At least I'm equipped for them (revolver, curios, Zealot damage gates). They hurt, but can be dealt with, at least as long as you have ammo. Bombers can AOE you from cover and stay there.
    The rest, they are all dangerous, but in Auric, Bombers are certainly the most annoying to deal with, especially with no ammo (or ammo pickups).

      Agreed, it's surprisingly common to see teams get bogged down against mass gunners, instead of relocating just ineffectively trying to pew pew from cover because their toughness is constantly broken. Other common case is team simply getting shredded by normal shooters standing right next to them while they are busy smacking horde trash in melee.
      It's annoying as Ogryn to have to run around an area killing ranged mobs when vets and zealots are tunnel visioning on trash.

    @jzukenchekumashevich6590 Před 5 měsíci +2

    I would disagree with you on some enemies, from the perspective of pub player.
    Flamers are A-tier at most because they actually need to be close enough to shoot their flame so they become easy targets even in a horde, and with their consistent sound I just one-tap them on any class before they spool up their flame. A gunner spawn during a horde can be more dangerous because they have longer range and no sound clue.
    Snipers are also A-tier because every single time you take a sniper shot is because you have skill issues. Their attacks are perfectly telegraphed, you always know where they are pointing and when you hear a sound/see the flash you just dodge to the side. 99% of the times I take a shot from them is because I was too bold and decided to duel at long range with them. They are only a problem in maelstroms that spawn 5-7 of them in the fog, but I'd rather fight 8 snipers than 5 trappers/bombers.
    Beast of Nurgle is S-tier since it's a massive walking area denial, that also limits your mobility for solid minute if you make a single mistake, you can't really melee it because of it's fast tail attack and it straight pusnishes you for hitting it's weakspot because you have to stand in corruption puddle and take corruption to hit it in melee, which you have to if you're not running Columnus Mk V on every class.
    Ragers are B-tier at best because lmao, there are so many ways to deal with them. Easy to kite, easy to CC with almost any class with most builds, not that hard to melee actually if you use light attacks/specials and manage to stagger them. Vet has shout/frag nades, shovel and catachan swords, zealot has fury, stun nades, heavy weapons, psyker has trauma that throws them, assail that kills them, purgatus that staggers them, dueling sword that staggers them, smite that locks them.
    Trappers are definitely A-tier because a single mistake and you lose all your health and probably end your run.
    Gunners should probably be in the same tier as shotgunners and reapers, C tier. It's easy to deal with them on most classes, 95% of the time, with most weapons and unless your teammates have Nurgle's brain rot, they will pick them off from a distance instead of rushing them, and the game doesn't spawn that many of them. Reapers are easy 95% of the time because they are huge targets, and as you said they also get suppressed. If they weren't able to shoot their guns in 2-3 meter range they would be easily D-tier.
    Crushers, on the other hand, are solid B-tier or maybe even A-tier, they are the same walking "shield" as bulwarks for other specials, but also with ability to one-shot you. It's easy fighting 125 on the arena, but good luck fighting 8 in the elevator or on the thin bridge in the end of Hab Dreyko. For that reason maulers are easier than crushers, they don't bodyblock you as much, even if they had crusher hp pool and carapace all over they'd still be easier to fight.
    Dogs are at least C-tier because they are still buggy. I managed to wipe to HiSTG Heresy to a dog because I shot it, it played the stagger animation and turned to run away, but then instantly leapt on me from 2 meters without any chance to react.
    Mutants are S-tier but from the other end, because they are the best teammates you can ask for. Rescue your ass from a dog, throw you back to your team, swoop you from a silent poxburster dive, throw a bulwark wall on their asses, throw around a line of gunners, get you out of an extra thick horde.
