I think being able to read license plates and vehicle lettering other than when at a stop is the holy grail.

incredible!! How the manufacturers eat our brains with "the latest with new sensor, etc", I see them the same quality and in some sections better the U1000. I think the only difference is the price...

Yeah I do not see a massive difference. However the parking mode is the big difference that noone else is offering.

U3000 night footage is more washed out than the U1000. Truck bumper comparison @3:13.

Mainly that is because the U3000 is dead center of my windshield and U1000 is just off to the side a little bit. We tend to see this result with non HDR dash cameras. Take a look at vehicle to left and how much more clearer the U3000 is than U1000.

​@@SafeDriveSolutions If you look to the right, the light-up sign says "eagle mall" in the U1000. It says nothing in the U3000, so left/right placement isn't an argument. The colour in the Meridan is also washed out. The detail in BOTH are inadequate... can't see license plate in either (as with the F800 pro I've been using for years - so no reason to upgrade).

@@rickp3374 i agree with what you are seeing. Not going to tell anyone it is the latest greatest best dash camera on the market. What I do feel is the best is their parking mode on this unit. I dont think any other company can compete.

Wow, so much for the Starvis 2 sensor. Was the HDR feature turned on.

I think the 3000 looks off, and may need a firmware upgrade or sensor issue day time footage looks inferior especially yellows and blues the hdr is slow as well

Fyi there is no HDR on either camera only WDR

Night footage was better on the 3000 day seems not a huge difference.Might need firmware updates to improve things
