Other good places in or near Berkeley:
VIK's - Indian chaat and other dishes. This is the place that introduced chaat to the U.S. Food quality is great, prices are good. No frills at all (no table service, paper plates, disposable flatware). There's an Indian grocery attached to it.
Gioia Pizza - On Hopkins, about half a block from Monterey Market. Some of the best New York style pizza in the Bay Area. Their mushroom pizza is great.
Taqueria Talavera - On Solano in Albany, very close to the Berkeley border. They have two types of mole, both of which are excellent: mole poblano and mole guajillo. Their posole is also great. Many other fine dishes.
Sichuan Style Restaurant - On Solano in Berkeley. Many excellent dishes, including braised preserved turnip with eggplant, and Chongqing noodle soup. Be careful ordering if you're sensitive to spicy food, because some of their dishes are pretty hot. Also, be aware that service can be a little slow sometimes.

You ate like queens! If I had eaten like that when I was there I would have had to drop out and gone to community college ;) I actually liked how you started with more typical college fare - Top Dog, Cafe Durant, Durant food court. Wish you'd shown one of those Top Dog sausages like the Brat or Bockwurst, that was truly the stuff of late night food runs. Also, liked your nice shots of the Campanile, Wheeler, South Hall...this was travel book quality. Thanks for the memories...
Just realized that I didn’t try any food from places you mentioned while being physically on campus before Covid. Gonna try all of them when I’m back from gap semester next January. Love you Kristina and go bears!

How do you like the Osmo Pocket ?
Love it! So convenient and camera/audio quality is pretty good. I have filters to attach as well (which help with video quality) but they are a bit of a hassle to take on and off
@@bykchoi I don’t usually reply back to comments but I really like some of your product recommendations. I’ve bought 2 Lo&Sons bags to use as mommy bags for some friends and they absolutely loved them. I got a midnight ash colored one for myself as well.

The wine spots are definitely not for students!! I feel like cheeseboard was a pretty good deal when I was in college but still a treat. And we got some Chez Panisse to go which was a REAL treat (i never tried Chez Panisse as a student). Angeline’s was definitely a special occasion place for us when we were students. But the Asian ghetto places were a staple throughout college 👌
Not included was Sweethearts boba which was $1.79 when we were in college but is now like $4-5 😫😫😫
You should enjoy indian food also
