@@livinginthebayarea It's a beautiful city with some of the best weather in the country BUT the homeless situation is out of control. There were some areas I hadn't visited for a long time until recently, only to discover they've been overrun by tent cities. Tents are popping up on downtown Berkeley's sidewalks now! Pre-covid it was also feeling very crowded. So much housing construction happening now it boggles the mind. Most of it near UCB. Bay Area traffic also a nightmare and Berkeley is no exception here. You almost feel forced into public transit.

I. used to live in Berkeley. My financial situations changed, and had to move to another city. The amenities are awesomely convenient.

Bamfa, and the botanical garden are great. Even the homeless are hella smart there lol. A lot of cool stuff and bart makes SF accessible
Berkeley is a great place to live if your in the 1%.

Looked at house prices and once again, another place in California that is overpriced: half a million or a million and more, are normal prices.

I don't want to get robbed. Berkeley is right next to Oakland. Once all the businesses in Oakland leave, the robbers (and you know what people I'm talking about) will migrate to Berkeley and rob Berkeley.
