    This car in Italy -
    1. Much cheaper insurance than the non-hybrid version
    2. Free road tax for the 1st 3 years
    3. Super fun to drive up and down windy mountain roads.

    Congratulations for the video ... The real 0-100 on this hybrid model corresponds to about 7.4 seconds ... I can confirm that the official data provided by Suzuky are lower than those stated ... I have had the car for about two years, full of satisfaction and fun driving, I recommend it to anyone who loves to drive, especially in curves ...

    Owned the previous gen car. It was no fireball but was fun and importantly good value. Very economical too. It was built to a cost and you could tell but at the price it never felt cheap. This could have been a great opportunity for Suzuki to go full electric, dump the engine and add some genuine sport performance to the Swift. But I’m still nostalgic about that 1.6 naturally aspirated engine. It did love a good rev.

    You are good at picking up on the drawbacks that many testers miss: the poor quality reversing camera, the bleeping, the beetlebrow windscreen etc. They were forgivable faults at £15k. but not at nearly £22k in UK.

      Thank's we can do the math too by ourself. About acceleration, there are a lot of YT videos that point out that performances are better than those we see in this video.

Now there is special offer with a price of €17500. Swift Hybrid 1.2 (90 HP) equipped with 4WD starts at €14900.

    Another Swift Sport Hybrid video where the reviewer hasn't done their homework. The electric motor provides another 13hp on top of the 129hp which pretty much evens it out speed wise. Its also quicker off the mark with less lag. Its 0-60 time has been done in 7.2 secs. Otherwise excellent review.

    Most do not worry that there will be hardly any small cars with petrol engines in the future. Too expensive to get them within 95g of CO2. So they are all canceled. Reduce consumption with hybrid, but they become more expensive. Or they disappear like Opel Adam / Karl, Peugeot 107, VW up and so on. Small electric cars for less than 20k EUR? Forget it...So I'm happy to see one of these little fun cars here. There will be not so many new petrol small cars in the future

    • @Hamachingo
      @Hamachingo Před 4 lety +3

      It does smooth out the turbo lag, make the throttle more responsive, saves a bit on fuel in stop&go and has way better emissions. For every gram over the limit, the manufacturer has to pay roughly 100 EUR to the government and they will absolutely forward that cost to the customer.
      Suzuki found a very nice compromise IMO, this is by no means a normal hybrid, the electric system is really only there to help out the IC engine in those short moments when it's not being efficient at all.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives Před 4 lety

      @PigeonForLife quite a lot of creators make money either selling merch, getting support through Patreon or collaborating with brands. They also have million+ subscribers, which means even if 0.1 percent of their subscribers decide to support them financially, they can make a good living without worrying about AdSense revenue.
      Side note: it's more like 0.04%.
      Over the years I tried Patreon (and its local equivalent), once in a while I do a collab with a brand, I don't bother pushing merch, because my subscriber count/engagement doesn't justify the effort. Mid-rolls were a thing on CZcams for 10+ minute videos for the last 2 years or so, and I admit they have contributed significantly to this channel's revenue. Until I find a better revenue stream, this is how I roll.
      I know as of recent CZcams has turned mid-rolls by default for 8 minute+ videos, 2 ads are played instead of one, the ads are repetitive, and some are just too long and shouldn't be admitted. But that's CZcams's problem, not mine.
      My reviews take 4-6 days to make. I post consistently every week since 2014, and I'm constantly improving the quality. You can always skip ads or turn on AdBlock.
      BTW, this is literally the first time you comment here PigeonForLife. I appreciate any feedback, but are ads they only thing you have to say about this or any of my other reviews?

    • @shubhambhati7087
      @shubhambhati7087 Před 3 lety

      @@MarekDrives Here in india suzuki is very reputable brand only because of some basic factors such as:-
      They provide cheapest car, because the average income of car buying population is low.
      Better fuel economy, due to light weight body design and low CC engines.
      Excellent after sales service, low cost spare parts, cheap maintenance and availability of parts and service center at any part of the country and also has the highest number of them.
      And last, great resale value because it's a Suzuki cheap, reliable and easily serviceable.
      But suzuki is getting really bad reputation these days because of safty issues. Indian suzuki cars (mostly the new generation one's) have scored really bad global ncap rating and considered as one of the most unsafe car to drive in india. Ppl in india are just started getting aware of buying a safe car and suzuki is failing pretty badly. One of their product the suzuki Espresso scored zero at global ncap and is not safe for any passanger. Also suzuki provides little to no safety features in their Indian products to keep them cheap and affordable as possible.
      Most car buyers in india don't care if the car has safty features or not as long as the car has highest number of features and affordable in their price range. And this is the exact reason suzuki has the highest selling rate than every other car selling company of india. In a year suzuki sells almost as same ammount of units as all the other car manufacturers combined.

      Wow! That explains why they don't care about parts of the world, where they do have to meet tougher requirements. I'm not saying Suzuki cars are bad, but I'd choose a Suzuki only in a specific situation. For example it would have the most convenient service respective to where I live/work vs. other brands, or I would live somewhere, where the Jimny would make sense, because there is no better cheap off-roader. That being said the Jimny is a terrible city car, and many people bought it, as low-budget city toy.
