Arcade Summer (Original Song)

I wrote this song when I was 24, alongside my song "Mary Janes" I that I posted a few months ago. I was just learning how to structure songs and my lyrics were quite a bit different than they are now. I remember mentioning in the description of that song that the lyrics contained "an elaborate series of personal references," and this one is similar in that way -- without mentioning what they meant, the lyrics probably wouldn't make much sense. I enjoy songs with that level of obscurity from others, but I will elucidate as I did with Mary Janes, because I also like elucidation because it is a lesson in writing processes:
This song contains a series of personal references about being HIGHLY IRRITATED AS A FEMALE HUMAN, and ultimately having * P M S. * I'm serious. Kind of. That's the neat little definitional bow the pre-chorus can be tied up into, but on a more microscopic level, "dragon blood" refers to this time when I was 4 or 5 yrs old watching Dragon Tales and being SO ANNOYED I couldn't go to Dragon Land and eat the SQUISHY DRAGON FRUIT. Like WHAT is UP with that aspect of this reality? I couldn't handle it. Circus hair refers to getting my hair done when I was 3 or 4 and it was done with 90S BUTTERFLY CLIPS and I decided it looked like my hair was a magical circus tent and I LOVED IT but then REPEATEDLY FAILED TO REPLICATE ITS GLORY MYSELF. What's up with THAT? And wild eyes refers to the fact that I have semi-hooded eyes and thick eyebrows and people have said I look scary/like I'm mad when I tilt my head down and look up but IT'S NOT MY FAULT THE ANCESTRAL EYEBROWS POTENTIAL PEAKED IN ME.
....Anyway, back when I was like 15-16 I was like, "I wish I wasn't so chaotic and intense" but then I realized that it doesn't matter, we all glitch sometimes, and, glitching means you have energy, you just have to direct it right.
The self-portrait in the background was taken around the same time I wrote the song, back in the summer of 2021.
