They are a replacement from the old reaction roles and it gives an cleaner more modern look to your discord server. This video honestly saved me from the headache of updating my reaction roles when I could just do button roles. Reaction roles are such a headache to setup and it’s so easy to make one stupid mistake which ruins everything.
I completely agree, with reaction roles as soon as you made a mistake, or you want to add another role, you would have to start over. This pretty much makes things way easier!!
@@fleetdiscord or just use carl bot that has a build in embed editor and builder and you can always add or remove things inside reaction roles.

I would recommend keeping your old rules/reaction role channels as backup. Discohook Utils BOT goes down, A LOT. Your buttons become useless when it does.

I might know, try making the permission of @everyone on view channel to / and then make every single role that your giving have a permission of X on the channel

I've got a webhook but I want to add a dropdown menu to it any way that's possible? Most bots already create the webhook for you but that would limit the usage of custom emotes

I was just going to ask here so what bot is good so like when you do role reactions on a set of roles you have to hit one to get other like in ordering to get another role in that role spot you have to hit one role before your able to hit the other if you know what I mean I’ve tryed looking this up and still nothing

Another way to get the id is just sending the emoji then copying the message then copy the id then done.
Is it possible to do this except that the buttons *aren't* for roles? For example I want an embed to have a button that can show another embed. I am in a server that uses something like this however I don't know if this feature is bot specific only

@@ethgore Yeah working on a video atm for it! It can't be done without the bot as there has to be a posting process when a user interacts with the button. Definitely coming soon though

Had the same issue. Make certain that you have the "Discohook Utils" bot and not just the "Discobot" added to your server and verify that both are connected to your server!

Is it possible to let the user watch a video, and after the user watched the video it will display buttons under that video that he has to click on to continue through the servr
It's something that I have wanted to do for a while. Unfortunately there's not a way of embedding a video into an embed unless you use something like vimeo or youtube. Problem is you can't track if the user has watched the video before moving onto the next step.

So I know I'm a little late to the party, and if you've found the solution then the majority of this reply will be irrelevant.
To add buttons between embeds you need to send multiple messages each containing one embed. Discohook Utils adds buttons to the message, not the embed. In the video it appears to be one message but its actually mutiple using the same webhook. The easiest way to do this is to make back ups, and send them in rapid succession, since the process is somewhat time sensitive, as having too great a break in time will post the icon of the bot again.
