    As a total beginner in 3D printing (i've not yet unboxed my M5C yet) that was the best and most informative video on the subject i've found on YT. Thank you very much, you teach and inform very well. Ding, another subscriber.

    After a week of trying to set up a Tina 2S, I gave up and it is packed for return. I then began researching for a new beginner printer. I wish I found this video weeks ago.

    Hello Mike, very nice professional and informative presentation as usual. I'm currently using a Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro which works very well for my needs (retired electrical / electronic engineer / maker) albeit a little slow. Im currently looking at various upgrade machines and this Anker machine may be a good candidate. Can you please advise the print speeds used to print the "Benchi" test model?

    *Thanks Irv!* I spent the entire day looking for a faster printer in an emergency. I'm sorry I found your video after I ordered! I should have checked with you first. Thanks for the superb video!

    Hello Mike, I just opened my M5C and there was not any filament. How do I see if it actually works? And why is there not a user manual? There wasn't even a paper with the contents of the box

    I have seen several videos with reviews of the M5C. However either they don’t show when the actual printing is done with sound on or they play music while they show a high speed video of the printing.
    I have/have had several 3D printers, most them were quite noisy.
    How do you rate the noise level of the M5C?

    My M5C is supposed to arrive today. My plan is to install the app on an old Android phone and put that on a stand (3D printed of course) next to the printer to use in place of the control panel. I also plan to use Prusa Slicer rather than AnkerMake Slicer. Hope it lives up to at least some of the hype.

      Not sure if using the old Android will work. I have an iphone 6s, which is pretty old. More and more of my APPS are no longer working because they have updated and sunset the old version of their APPs and their new ones require an operating system update and the OS needed for the APPS can't be installed on my iPhone. The need for APPS is becoming a little too much. I just got back from a 2 week vacation so I wanted to wash some clothes. The washer and dryer in the hotel no longer took coins, had to install an APP. Had to take the clothes to an old style laundry place.

    Mr.Irev, Will this printer work with a chrome book ?

    • @MakeWithTech
      @MakeWithTech  Před 9 měsíci

      The slicer will not, the printer using the app will.

      @@MakeWithTech thank you for your response Mr. Irev , I’m a new teacher and the students have chrome books to use, as I’m new to 3d printing and teaching, thought a 3d printer would be a good teaching tool but was very unsure of chrome books working with 3d printing now since my comment to you, the school provided a couple of laptops and understand more, thank you once again .

    Relying exclusively on an app and the slicer connected to the printer over the internet is a no go for me. I LOVE the idea of the Anker printer app, but not having the ability to do even basic functions like preheat, load/unload, or browse the USB and fire off a print directly from the printer is a major negative for me. I think Anker made a mistake by not including a control screen on the printer.

    • @hopkinsjonathanuk
      @hopkinsjonathanuk Před 10 měsíci

      I’ve seen reference to being able to buy a screen as an accessory - trying to verify this. Just FYI

    • @matthewjbauer1990
      @matthewjbauer1990 Před 9 měsíci

      @@hopkinsjonathanuk Yeah, no. With the price of this printer and the reputation/brand that Anker is, you'd expect Anker to be better than this. And in all actuality, the screen would be nothing more than a mini Android tablet running the app, so if I were to get the M5C (and I don't plan on getting one because I now have an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro), I'd be better off just using my retired Moto G6 or Lg Stylo (not gonna use my S10 FE because that's my backup phone now).

      I’ve been running my M5C pretty much non-stop since June, and now that I’ve gotten used to it, I love it. First, you absolutely can do all of those things at the printer - or at least, I can, since my phone is always in my back pocket. However, I can also check my print status (mostly just time left) from anywhere in the house. If my .gcode is on a usb stick, I can pop it in and browse it using my phone, standing at the printer or otherwise. I’ll grant that there are downsides - you have to login to the app, and can only be logged in from one device at a time. I’ve had to set up my own camera so that I can monitor for print failure - however, if I’m not in the room with the printer, and I check it and see that it’s failed, I can kill the print job right there. So, it’s not perfect. But it’s also $360. I have two of them now.

      @matthewjbauer1990 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@karmachameleon326 The app doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that its mandatory to use my phone to control the printer. Yes, I always have my phone on me but I don't want to use my phone for this.

    Guys, boys, and girls, smart or dumb, there is nothing that can compare a budget to mid-level printers. I will give you a perfect example. If printers were cell phones, Anker would be an Apple iPhone. The build quality is thick, all aluminum, and it will remind you of a Macbook (surface). I got so sick of my Ender 3 v2 NEO, which was the latest before the flimsy new v3 just came out. What really confused me is that, Ender v3 definitely got a few designs from Anker. As far as the speed goes, 250mm/sec is where it starts, and 500mm/sec is an option if you don't mind just a little less definition. Benchy finished in less than 20 minutes, and it looks GOOD! There's nothing to do. Thank god Anker put a stop to manual bed leveling. This new M5C is what you call evolution. There's nothing that can beat M5C at $350 intro price atm. Everything today is controlled by our cell phones. So, how does the app run? PERFECT! visual to simplicity. Print from anywhere. THANK YOU ANKERMAKER!
