There was a duplication glitch that let us get infinite logs. It was fixed with the last patch so here's a new way to get unlimited logs!
Make a log storage, and place in 3 logs.
Save the game.
RUN - AppData - \LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves
Select either Multiplayer or Single Player
Check the date and time of the folders
Copy the save file and paste it into another location to back it up
open the ScrewStructureInstancesSaveData.JSON file using Notepad
Use Ctrl + F to find: ItemId\":78,\"TotalCount\":3
Enter 999 then save it and load the game.
Subscribe :3

So i think i accidentally did this as a glitch one time in my multiplayer world, without going into the files. It's not really infinite logs but basically, i had like 8 log holders and a zipline going through the middle of as many as i could get it through. Then i chopped down many trees and kept sending the logs down the zipline. Every time i went to check the log holders, the front log holders would be filled up and there would be a bunch of logs clipping through the holders because they got stuck and wouldn't go to the next holders. I was saving up logs for the next day so i logged off and came back the next day to start building with my friend. We were building like normal until we got to these 8 log holders. I realized when I'd take a log out it wouldn't let me put it back in. Then when my friend took some out the log holder magically refilled to full and he could keep taking out an infinite amount. Here's the thing, it was not infinite, each holder only had a certain amount extra. We kept pulling out logs and one by one each holder dried up. So I'm thinking maybe something funky went on with the zipline going through multiple holders and it allowed us to overfill the holders, similar to how you manually overfilled the holders in your files.
I did it with logs, sticks and rocks. Once you save the glitch stays with the holders. You don't need to pile them up. They're dispensers on demand.

how do you remove the structure, I've tried reverting the amount of logs and its still stuck with 999. Breaking the structure causes game to crash.

This is really helpful since there is no console commands yet. I just want to build stuff without spending hours chopping trees
You can use the console cmd "spawnitem log" add the desired number you want and that's it
Console is downloadable as mod.
Use Wemod, full console commands. 1 hit trees and whatnot.

Whats the code for the rock storage also can you add the katana to the inventory? I have the code for the Katana but not showing up in the search in notepad probably because there is no value if it hasnt been picked up. But I can't find any ID's for rock storage, stick storage and shelving units etc...

Doesnt work for me. It fills up the rack but then there dont spawn more
I tried to do this but every time I loaded my single player save back up my game would crash half way through the loading screen. A simple fix for this was once I started to load in I minimised SOTF, This seemed to have temporarily fixed it for me.
Won't let me open the last menu, any advice?
Helpful tip you can also use this method to modify how much ammo is in your inventory.

I saved it with 999. Like instruction says and when i go to the game from 3 logs it filled up to 6 but only this. After i take every log outside the Holder i cannot get more than 6 that was in it. I left the game to do everything again but when i entered the folder ot was 999 already. But it doesn't work. Pls help

How does this look after the update? My containers looked full but they aren't working the same. Any thougths? wonder if I just need to redo the code.

Well I tried altering some of the inventory items with no luck, if there's a way, make us a video
Can you do this in multiplayer if you're not the host? or can only the host modify the text
Only the host will have access to the saved file as far as I'm aware
If it runs like the first game, and many others then it's not a local save in multiplayer, only the host game is able to save & hold savefiles.

Edit: it was patched. Now is easy, just âcheatsticksâ and then press f1

Just search for "78" for me it exists, but it refused to locate it for some reason
You can hit each corner for logs, I got 4 loads of logs off one so far. Still picking up logs atm so possibly more

Do you have to do this everytime you want to load into the game?
If you indeed set the log count held to something like 9999, then unless you use all them logs then they should technically re save, as the game is only reading the edited save and then saving the remainder of the count when you save out.
@@DJLKM1 The reason I ask is because even though there's 9778 left, the visual shows only 0, therefore I was worried that in a save it might read it back to 0
After some testing, once you set the value of the logs and save aftewards, it is not effected and you'll still have the value you originally set minus the logs you used

Just search the last Id's, its almost the last one
honestly ijust found something that had item count 6 and changed the 6 to 999
@@passatcaddy You have to have a Log holder placed on the map for it to work, He is just modifying the quantity of logs in the holder.

There is faster and more effective way of getting logs. Use cheat engine table and set unlimited items held in hand, it will work with all kinds of logs and you don't have to run back and forth for the logs.
@@Subscribe Btw. this saved file browsing is good for copying Kelvin and Virginia. Changing few strings you can clone Kelvin and Virginia for example having 10 Kelvin's instead of 1. Also you can change position of your buildings but it is hard to know exact coords but newest cheat engine table is still better because they added option build anywhere, so you don't have to snap at all.
Isn't this technically a mod? You're not downloading automods, but you're modifying the files manually

If you're going to cheat the game by using glitches or changing files to duplicate logs, why not just play in the creative mode?

It may be imperceptible but it's diferent.
That was my problem.
Unfortanly i deleted my save in the process because i entered in a new game and saved above the main save i had .... lost 100 days dam it hahaha....

I'm playing on GEFORCE NOW... so no cheat engine... but this worked since I could edit savegame and upload to cloud and play it in GEFORCE NOW.... but after last update is not working anymore
