The Arkham Knight Classic Harley is still the winner in my opinion, as far as the classic outfit goes. But this one feels like they mislabeled the package, and it was intended to be an animated series Harley...dunno.

Funny how Harley has double jointed elbows yet Superman, arguably the most desired figure of the wave, doesn’t.
Check out that interview with McFarlane he gives some insight to why that is. He sounds willing to do more articulation if it's in demand. (which it is)
I do agree with the articulation complaints on our favorite characters.

I like this Harley, I feel the animated Harley was always thin wast big thighs and medium chest and this Harley does that for me.
Yeah, this seems to be that exaggerated busty female version of Harley from the comics.

That's an amazing Harley Quinn collection! Several I hadn't even seen before she's a tough one to track down and can be quite pricey new in box if you can even find em. Great review, love the comparisons. I like the new Mcfarlane HQ, I will pick it up sometime. Disappointing that she doesn't scale well with the other Mcfarlane figures, how the heck does that happen?! I love the mallet, easily my favorite HQ mallet and I doubt there will be a better one.
Yeah, even though there are issues, there is a lot I like about this figure.
I really liked this figure for what it looks and wanted to make it fit into my Arkham City collection since I'm more fond of the classic BTAS costume than the others , but apparantly she'd be taller than Arkahm City Joker, so not sure anymore...

Do you think the DC Icons Harley Quinn would scale better with the McFarlane Multiverse figures, since canonically she should be a little shorter than Batman or any regular sized earthling?

This has got to be the most extensive toy review Ive seen to date, lol. And yeah, I don't know why they chose this sculpt for Harley. I believe the artist from the comic she's referencing is Terry Dodson. Some of the most beautiful sculpts have come from his work. Would've been great to get this figure in that art style.

I cannot imagine they will release another one at least not for a very long while. Another comic one is classic outfit...probably not for many years.
I'm VERY impressed with these so far.. Rebirth batman and night wing are the favorites out of the 7 I picked up. This is one I skipped in store because I thought it was the animated version I didn't want. Sucks finding out that I'm wrong and it's a comic version

Wow..double jointed elbows & butterfly swivel on a female figs..😍..plus upper torso and lower torso rockers. Nice colors & paints plus a very curvaceous body sculpt. McFarlane could be giving all other manufacturers of standard action figures a run for their money..i wonder can that Harley head goes on the pink Bunny Fortnite fig🤔

I don’t really think they’re all meant to be proportionate, they’re based off the comic they’re featured in, so they will look artistically different
I’m not nearly as picky as some people. I’m totally cool with this entire wave and the way they look together. She’s getting a lot of hate though.

I really hope Mcfarlane Toys makes a Harley Quinn Action Figure from the video game Batman Arkham Knight! A Arkham Asylum or Injustice 2 Harley Quinn figure would be cool too!👍🏻

I like this Harley, although I would have preferred a more modern version of her or a more comic book version so she could fit better with the other figures, just hope mcfarlane releases another Harley down the line

Some nice world building going on...
I love the animated look and feel it is more in line with the new Harley Quinn series on DC Universe (which I love), similar to the classic Batman: The Animated Series (but not exactly) and definitely not Terry Dodson inspired as pictured on the package. This is much more the Harley we've seen on the screen than the page.
I agree, I’m wondering if they miss labeled it somehow.
@@dHuntersReviews I'm a fan of the animated look and as an in package collector, scale isn't really an issue for me. I know a lot of people have been unhappy with that. Granted if McFarlane makes a 7 inch Dr. Psycho figure I will not be happy.
How did you get it from a Target? The Computer wouldn't ring it up for me saying I had to wait till the 19th.
Not sure, the target I found these that had them on the shelf and I bought them. I went back to that target a week later to see if they had more they said they could not sell them until the 19th… I just stared at them…

I picked up Harley at Walmart today. I really like the look and articulation of the figure. Getting her to hold on to the mallet is a pain though. The hands will not grip very well.
It works OK for me, her hands are a little bit too tight but they can be stretched out with ease. What state did you find them in at Walmart?

I got mine at target, some people have been finding them at Walmart, Amazon.com has them up for pre-order with a January 17 release date

Yikes. Harley is supposed to be almost a foot shorter than Batman as Harley is actually supposed to be 5'2".
7 inches according to the information McFarlane gave us. Her card said 5'7". Batman 6'2".
Yep, you're right. I just checked my DC Encyclopedia, 5'7 is right. Either way, she is too tall.
If she was 0.4 inches shorter, she'd match the description they gave us.

Scale/proportions off (too tall, legs size look comparable to Superman & Batman, huge head), generally an ugly rendition of HQ IMO & may be one of the worst HQ issues I've seen. Not a great way to start a line with such an iconic character & then completely blow the height. Definite fail & easy pass for me. Thanks for the detail review.

@@dHuntersReviews What do you consider to be the best overall 1:12 scale HQ in your collection? The SHF Injustice HQ looks to be the coolest looking HQ IMO.
The figurarts are way too small, my two favorite in the classic costume are the Mattel DC universe classics white faced Harley Quinn, and the DC collectibles Arkham knight classic suit Harley Quinn.
@@dHuntersReviews Always interesting to get the expert opinion on which takes the top slot. The SHF Injustice HQ appears pretty close to height of the Mattel DC Universe Classic white faced issue from the comparables pics (as top of head appears to be near top of shoulder joint for each) but maybe they look different in hand. I think I'm gonna pick up the SHF Injustice HQ as that one stands out as coolest overall look, for me anyway & has some cool accessories. Thanks for the reply.
I think as a whole I prefer the 7 inch figures, but I will settle for 6.5 inch as well. The 6.0 and smaller are too small

the more I watched reviews of McFarlane DC figures, the more I like DC Essentials figures.. LOL
They are ok together imo.
I give it a 6/10. Bit boring in the face and those cankle joints are a bit off.

Mcfarlane toys did not outbid Mattel toys for the Dc multiverse license...mattel toys just moved on to other things.

@@dHuntersReviews I don't have the link for this article but you can try Google...and from what I understand it's that both parties just wanted to move on and I know one thing mcfarlane toys is a small company they don't have the capital to outbid Companies like Hasbro, Mattel inc., Ban dai or Lego.
@@solomonallen3524 You have to think on all the money McFarlane has done with The Walking Dead, Fortnite and Game Of Thrones. It's not the type of toys collectors and reviewers buy (even though they do), it's more like a casual, non collector target they aimed at, even kids. That means a huge target. That means A LOT of money. So idk.

I like it, though yeah, it's too tall for mingling with other figures. But, there's also a lot of people who would be down for this Harley, and only Harley, and for them, this is probably the best option for an animated-looking Harley.
I’m not too picky, she’ll be mingling with all of my other figures.

I guess a better way of asking would be to say, does the Essentials one look better proportioned next to those two? Since i really like this, but she looks more cartoony and doesn't really look like she's from the same universe as those two, I meant to ask.
In my Batman detective comics review, I show him next to the essentials Batman if that helps. In this video I show Harley next to the essentials Harley.
Her mallet is a baseball bat with a mallet piece on it that's interesting.
Not sure about that, the base "stick" doesn't get bigger as it goes up like a baseball bat.

The one thing I cant get past is the hyper extended knee and leg it looks ridiculous.

The head is a little bit more stylized than I would’ve liked. And she should be a hair shorter. But overall she’s a decent figure.

But the dc licence is also a hot Potatoe ,you have to be quick or you get burnt ,you See that on Necas behalf.
Even the fortnite figures are nicely scaled from McFarlane.

Neca never had the DC license. They found a loophole and were able to release figures from Darkhorse comic crossovers.
Earlier they were able to release Toys “R” Us exclusive‘s that were supposed to be bundled with the DVD.
@@dHuntersReviews they told me they had the licence from dc ,but in Order to Release Figures they had to Stick to the contract and they told me that on January 2020 the licence would expire .
