Best movie ever made. I believe they shot the Salma Hayek scene 5 times with her singing on each take. Everyone sang live on set, everyone was beautiful. Best movie ever made.
Every single song in this movie, has so much symbolisim, and its so deep, its just such an incredible, beautiful, deep film with so many lessons. will always be one of my favs
@@VenomStickTVC15 I agree, but there’s a lot to be said for Julie Taylor’s vision as well. She not only directed it, but also co-wrote it. Her interpretations of these classic songs and the imagery she attached to them is just incredible.
2023 update. To those that keep typing here that Joe needs to play Kurt Cobain. Kurt died at the young age of 27! Across the Universe released in 2007. Currently 16 years ago. Actor Joe Anderson is now 41! His time to play Kurt Cobain was back when Across the Universe first released. It's far too late now.
SAS KIA I God he still looks pretty much the same as he did in 2007 but for god sakes we're running out of time here Joe Anderson's not going to stay looking 27 forever like he could probably still pull it off within the next year or 2 but like kurt died at age 27 that Yong AF sooo let's get the show on the road ASAP👀💞❤❤❤😘😂😆😆😆😍😍😍 pretty pretty please with lithium sprinkled on top
this scene does a pretty good job replicating what heroin feels like (or in this case morphine) when you are addicted to it. the warm colors, the soft backup vocals from the chorus of the nurses, Max’s facial expressions. and of course the song itself is also very evocative of the same thing. it’s very well executed
I had my first acid trip watching this movie, and this is the scene when i realized i was actually tripping. Hard to believe this actually lasted 3 and a half minutes. Amazing experience that everybody should make at least once in a lifetime, really mind opening and soul awakening.
lol....I totally get what you're saying. I've, sadly, only done acid once...and it was mild, but interesting. Psilocybin has been far more fascinating for me...one such experience was the single most interesting, awe-inspiring, meaningful, profound experience of my entire life. As for this movie, I watched it with a bunch of friends. We made pot brownies for the occasion....which was the first time I'd ever eaten marijuana. It takes awhile for edible marijuana to get you high....and I remember the scene when I noticed I was very VERY high. It was the "Because" scene where they're laying in the field. That was one of the most poignant and beautiful moments of my entire life. It was like the entire universe was holding it's breath....beauty was seething out of every pore of existence. I'll agree with you....such experiences are very important, and anyone who's never had such an experience...I feel profoundly sorry for them. They're missing out and don't even know it.
This scene honestly really resonates with me because it visually recreates the exact feeling of morphine... that and this is one of my favorite Beatles songs anyway 😅
So in the creative meetings for this segment, the director and his men were thinking about how to visually transmit the sensation of heroin on screen, and one guy said... How about we have 5 Salmas in the video dancing and dressed as nurses? They paused for a few seconds, pondered and went... Yeah. Okay.
My favorite movie of all time that is not related to Star wars or marvel or comic book movies in general... This movie was a masterpiece and the actors and actresses did a great job singing the songs of The Beatles!!! To this day the movie still brings tears to my eyes it is definitely my favorite movie of all time

One of her rules of sexy moves was to move one thing at a time. Every single placement of the hand, or move, is a thing of itself.
I have used this routine to confirm what she was teaching.
As I was sitting there through her ladies' styling classes, I quickly realized that having a guy sitting there watching the class might not be cool, so I learned to bring something to work on, to pretend I wasn't listening but still hearing what she was teaching (and to jump in when she needed a dance dummy).
