  • Most of us know Winnie the Pooh as a slow-moving traditionally styled Fantasyland Dark Ride but in Tokyo Disneyland, their version implemented a brand new never-before-seen ride system. This is Pooh's Hunny Hunt.

I love how traditional and classic this looks while being completely modern in it's technologies. I wish Disney would do more of this, we can't lose the classic dark rides but the new technology shouldn't be ignored either.

I truly believe after riding this ride myself, as I lived in Japan for about six and a half years with the military, this ride is definitely everything it lives up to be. This ride has interactive ride vehicles, sprays out honey scents, and is a trackless dark ride system. It may be as Magic Kingdom is the only replica of WDW to give the Japanese that “authentic American” look. Tokyo Disneyland has a sister park beside it, Tokyo DisneySea, and is definitely unique to its kind. I truly believe a video screen does not do this Winnie The Pooh ride in japan justice, and you truly have to see and ride this attraction in person to see the full beauty of it.

When a culture appreciates history but also wants to be cutting-edge, and when theme park profits are re-invested back into the theme parks instead of propping up other unprofitable divisions in the company - you get Tokyo Disney Resort.

I still remember going to Disney land and riding the whinny the Pooh ride with my family. When we got off I noticed my little brother was in tears, at first I thought the ride must have scared him but after asking my parents they said he just wanted to ride it again😂 Granted he was much smaller back then I still think he would love this:3

9:02 Like everyone else in the world my introduction to these characters was as flat animated 2-dimensional characters so it never occurred to me whether or not they felt/looked like actual stuffed animals so it frightens me a little that that one little aspect makes or breaks the illusion for you.
