Sacrificing Authenticity in ADHD

    To clarify - I don't actually feel that taking medications means you are sacrificing authenticity. I take medication because I need to but the point here that I failed to make in regard to being on medication is that you can still find yourself choosing attachment over authenticity and in turn, you do yourself a disservice. So remember what you loved, what you valued, who you were and what was important to you previously in order to feel like yourself (:

    I resonate about what you say about people using "childish" as an insult. Children are amazing. & children are probably the closest thing to spiritual energy we can interact with. Pure emotions, pure hearts, they literally see the world more colorful than adults... It is a blessing to be "childlike"! :) & it's a blessing to express yourself authentically & without abandon. The world likes to lock our inner child away. I refuse to let that happen

    When I was young, my parents brought me to a psychiatrist that gave me Ritalin without helping with my problems, it doesn't really help me tbh. Now I nolonger take ADHD medicine and the free therapy sessions at University has helped me a lot
