- Since joining Manchester City in the summer of 2016, former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Josep Guardiola Sala, professionally referred to as Pep Guardiola has stamped his authority in the Premier League.
The game in England has been revolutionised.
His side has gone on to dominate the league, scripting several records in the process.
Guardiola can be regarded as perhaps the best in business after former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson is regarded by many as the best manager in PL history, managing United for over two decades since the competition's inception in 1992.
Is this now changing? As Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are on the verge of football immortality.
The Manchester United 1999 Treble Winning team holds so much weight, in the greatest manager discussion. If Manchester City deliver that this year what does that mean for Pep?
Ferguson stayed in England as manager for 26 years, Pep hasn’t been a manager for that long just yet. But during his 26 years with Manchester United he won 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, and two UEFA Champions League titles.
However, Pep is the youngest manager to win the treble in Spain, and now he's done it in England too as well as winning the Premier league for a record 4 years in a row!
During his career, Pep Guardiola has won 38 club trophies. He is the third most decorated manager of all time behind, you guessed it Sir Alex Ferguson and the second most decorated active manager behind Mircea Lucescu of Dynamo Kyiv.
When it’s all said and done, football is generational, for many Sir Alex Ferguson is the GOAT, but now there’s a new guy looking to take the mantle and he’s about to get it.
