    There are technically great drummers who can't bring a lick of composition to a song. People give Ringo grief for not being "flash," which shows more about them than it does about Ringo. Listen to The Beatles closely and you'll realize that Ringo is a composer, not just a drummer, something producers and composers see. Ringo is Nigel's idol and it shows. I have never heard any drummer with Nigel's take on a song, he is, without a doubt, my favorite drummer. I remember Roger Pope from the early days when I first discovered Elton, but he is more of a standard type drummer. I need to find recordings of Nigel playing songs from Blue Moves. I'd love to hear his take on some of those songs.
