- This Tech Tip is taken from Dave Scaler’s course on Import Testing and Techniques.
Many aftermarket scanners now offer VW and Audi software without the need for the factory tool. Although, if you’re not very familiar with the way these import companies do their testing, you may be uncomfortable with using the scanner. Dave Scaler cuts to the most common place to go inside the scanner to test for a fuel trim issue.

Thank you for the thorough yet simple explanation I've been looking for.
Great simple explanation
I don't understand when we should snap the throttle like a man ? Is this to get real values in the multiplicative ?
Great explanation, I have an Audi A6 Tdi 2.0. Sometimes when it’s driving normal then all of a sudden it goes into limp mode (loss of power) also up hill. Maybe I need to change the MAF sensor?
Does anyone help me understand what my problem is?
I have the fault code
00561 - Mixture Adaptation: Adaptation Limit (Add) Exceeded
My fuel trim is
(additive)= 5.5%
(multiplicative)= -4.7%
Is it a bad MAF or a vacuum leak?
sorry but I don't understand the video very well because I have difficulties in understanding English without subtitles
FROM WHICH SENSOR WILL THE DATA FOR BLOCK 032 AND 033 BE TAKEN
I just plug in the ol VagPro and if the live data reads at idle not around 4.0 gs then I replace it.
hi,mine was reading at idle 3.5 Should i need to replace it? thanks
What the H....no mass values or test.
thats how they say Audi in the USA?
I definitely don't say Audi that way. "Ow-dee" damn it lol
Audi, is from the latin "to listen" as in audio
