He does an excellent job, even back then he was a idol for probably 75% of the drummers. That is what I hear from the older generation, everybody wanted to be like Ian hehe. These four guys here are legends. Thanks for sharing.
This was a Charity event and all the guys performed for free. I went with an old mate and it was a brilliant night, this was an added bonus, about an hour of music all played with fun !!
RIP Bernie, its always tough as a singer, the first few phrases of that first song, voice isnt warmed up, dont want to strain and blow your voice and adrenaline affects placement, a couple of verses and Bernie was on point, great musician and singer, will be sadly missed.
Amazing how differently Paicey plays this from Cozy. Paice tends to swing slightly behind the band and Powell tends to drive the band. Both brilliant in their own way!
@@guillermo3564 There are bootlegs from the '83 tour, where Cozy is already in the band. They play "Don't Break My Heart" and "Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues", for example. Cozy played these old songs much harder, but not neccessarily better.
How come every Whitesnake guitar-player sings his ass off !!? Well, that's, of course, with the exception of Mr. Steve Vai. But who cares Steve Vai's singing anyways ? He makes the guitar fucking talk, weep, scream and howl !

Well, what would you expect? He is THE GOD OF THE DRUMS!!! He plays like no one else, and no one else plays like him. An absolute legend!
