Thank you for the video! I was brave enough to start slips this year. I am trying from two grocery store varieties. One I buried half in a plastic pot of soil in a vertical orientation, the other in a horizontal orientation. (Both pots were leftover food containers.) Both took a lot longer to make slips then what I hoped, but they did eventually. I also ordered slips from a seed company, just in case my own efforts failed. And yes, five slips were $24 I think. They did have a really good root system and they’re definitely ahead of my home-grown slips, but my slips are still thriving!
