Craft people are one of the good things left on earth
These are great. I'd love a men's sandal with a strap around the heel. I love a flip flop for casual wear but would be nice to have a pair that is better for walking that is easier to keep on your feet.

Beautiful and well made. I made sandals like this all by hand from watching videos like yours and Im proud to wear them even with crooked edges, I wish they taught stuff like this in schools so people such as myself could learn and become as great as you are!

I wish I had known about you when my daughter was growing up; she has long narrow thin feet, size 10 since her mid teens, its a battle to find the right fit shoe, let alone sandals. Thank you for encouraging us and others to pursue and invest in quality well made sandals!!

Made my own sandals in the seventies..two pieces of leather and tacks. Lasted for ever...loved them.

I'd love to buy a pair but I hate having the strap between my toes. would be awesome if you could make a pair without that and put like 3 straps around the top of the foot and a strap around the back that could be fitted with velcro. something like that would look awesome in a dark tan leather. I'll keep Checking back to see if you have something like that in the future.

Looks great--can you do a follow up video on leather sandal cleaning and care--I usually buy cheap sandals because they get dirty when I wear them outside all summer long.
Was down in Key West recently and I was really digging this pair of leather OluKai custom stitched leather sandal. I thought it was weird that they were all leather & the other were foam and rubber. Thank you for explaining the tropical leather sandal build. With a $140+ price tag are they worth it in your opinions? Now that I have discovered your YT stations I will be checking out your sandals and shoes as well. Awesome videos keep em coming surely easier said than done!👍

I do have a question about the ladies sandals. In the video they appear to be made with a fair width. The ball of my foot is fairly wide so China made shoes don't always fit and I usually need a W because they are so narrow. Can the ladies sandals accommodate wider feet, or are they only for ladies with smaller feet?
OH! Just a suggestion- I love the Birkenstock sandals and would definitely buy something like that if y’all made a similar style ! They’re great for wide feet!

I like the horse logo. I get up to Brownland in Franklin a few times a year. My niece is the Middle Tennessee Hunter-Jumper champion for her age group (yes, I'm very proud of her).

Did you consider making the Natchez flip-flop sandal in a 1" to 2" wedge heels? I have flat feet and a need a bit of lift in the heel.

Haha, its funny seeing this. I noticed the sandals and just assumed it was a shoemakers son with the barefeet kind of thing. I work in high end landscaping and have never once had a yard of my own, i get enough grass at work lol

Trenton & Heath, these look great. Ever consider something with a bit more cushion and support for the ladies? We can't all wear super flat shoes comfortably. Nice to see some products crafted so well!
Blayne Cooper the stacked heels give some arch support. We also use poron padding, which is the best product to give a bounce back feel.

Never would I have placed them in the range of handcrafted shoes.

If I may ask for help.. Last year I bought a pair of double monk straps from Acemarks and they quickly became my favorite shoes! I recently decided they needed a good cleaning, so I used Saphir Reno'mat to clean them up... and ended up removing the factory finish of the color I loved so much :/
Unfortunate, but medaille dior brought it back after some mixing of mahogany and medium brown.
**The difficulty comes with exposing a very dark brown spot that was hidden with factory finish (apparently common with the brand, sadly) that won't take a shine and is notably darker than the rest of the toe... looking very off putting.
Any recommendations on what I can do to fix this?

Hello from Florida. I have been watching your videos for a several months and I've finally broke down and bit the bullet by finally logging in. Thank you very much for your informative videos, I have learned a lot in what goes on in leather shoe/boots and now sandals. I have a couple questions. First, do you repair Birkenstock sandals? I have a pair so worn out that the cork has broken down and the rubber sole has nearly worn through. This is the burning questions I've had for months, I just never bothered asking y'all until I saw this video. Second, regarding the leather. Do you use only cow hide or other (such as bison or deer)? The differences between the sole leather (thicker/denser) verses the uppers/tops (more malleable) is because they are from different areas of the hide? That is just a confirmation question. Oh, and thirdly, I have a pair of boots, GH Bass, that I wore for several years, hiking along trails in Florida all the way to North Dakota that needs some TLC. Thank for any answers and assistance!
I love the crafting that goes into these but I really look forward to seeing what styles you make for mens. At the moment it lacks any style beyond the traditional flip flop and for long walks incant wear those. So hopefully you'll make some that also have a strap that wraps around the ankles! Great video.
CrispyFrenFry thank you very much. Our sandals and styling was inspired by women who wanted their men to wear nicer styled sandals to be worn with summer shorts and polo shirts instead of more clunky type sandals. These are definitely NOT designed for hiking, but for nicer wear.
@@TrentonHeath I believe there can be some nice styled sandals for men that also include straps - flip flops aren't the only available style (and, to be honest, it speaks to me more of an house shoe that of a nice outside sandal)

I have a pair of Spanish (TakeMe) sling backs on a low wedge. I love them. The uppers are in good shape but they need new footbeds. Is it possible for a shoe repair shop to do something like that?
