- This is my brand new DIY leather sandals. In this video you will learn how to copy the pattern of your old leather sandals and make a new pair from scratch!
I was wearing these sandals every day for the past two summers.... they were my favorite, so I decided to make a new pair exactly the same! And I did it! I am not a shoe maker! I maybe did it wrong, but it worked for me and I am really excited with my new shoes!
In the next video (BONUS video) I will show you how I decorated my new sandals.

Thank you. I use veg tanned leather 1.8mm thick for all parts. The sole is synthetic...not leather...

😂 you don't need to use my pattern! In the video I show how to do this without a pattern! Just find some old but favourite sandals and use them as a pattern! So simple.
Now I wish I would’ve kept my favorite pair of sandals so I could re create them.

Hello, I have always wondered why to sew around the edge of the leather if you are not attaching anything to it. Is it just for looks?
Yes it is!😋 I just copied my favourite sandals. I like the stitched edge, but you can skip this part

@@stephenscorzo it s just rubber sole... I don't know if there is an othe name for it in English. You can find it to any store that repairs or make shoes.

This is a wood burning tool used in pyrography.

That looks awesome. I can help but notice the fury you ripped the old pair apart in. It came of as such.

Great sandals but I would make the rear straps that go into the sole in a single piece instead of two pieces. Also the toe post looks like it would be uncomfortable.

It’s a leather burnishing machine. I got mine from just wood.

This is 6mm.... but you can use any thickness!

Probably a very unpleasant smell in these sandals from smelly feet.
If the feet are smelly, any shoes will also smell bad. I were leather sandals all summer and they are not smelly.
