Look at any 3D Pokemon game (from XY to S&S) and you will notice how any Pokemon really only has 2 "attack gestures": 'physical' and 'special' (including status moves). This is NOT enough to convincingly animate even their base level-up moveset, let alone TM or egg moves (to say nothing of Copycat/Metronome which can execute literally ANY other move in the game).
In the mainline games they usually dont cause showing them run up, attack, then run back takes forever, and overall is just annoying, yeah it looks nice but it makes combat take FOREVER so doing it in this is nice as it seems combat will be a bit less frequent.

On it's own, as a separate game, the remakes do look very nice. However, when comparing them to previous Gen 3 remakes, it really feels like a step back in progress. It looks less like a remake, and more like an HD port.

With so many remakes having come out that are completely different games from the originals, it seems like there’s now a resurgence of remakes that stay true to the aesthetic and gameplay of the original game; Link’s Awakening, Xenoblade DE, Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, etc.
Ngl I'm here for it after SwSh... Plus the games won't be slow as hell this time. I see this as a win

@@TheSwooj I think the idea is that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are for the people who want very faithful remakes for modern hardware, and Legends: Arceus is for the people who want to see what can be done with Sinnoh remakes in the modern day.

On it's own, as a separate game, the remakes do look very nice. However, when comparing them to previous Gen 3 remakes, it really feels like a step back in progress. It looks less like a remake, and more like an HD port.
