Wow 1974 Had some crazy fashion! Johnny's jacket could have been a test pattern for old time TVs.
When a buddy saw a tie I was wearing, he said "Somewhere in town there's a '57 Chevy running around w/out any seat covers".
And, you could land a 747 on those lapels 🤣
Great to see Sir Michael 50 years ago, oh, how time flies, I always enjoy his multidimensional films, a tremendous versatile actor (retired recently) wish him many more years of health and happiness, a brilliant intuitive actor and an all around fantastic gentleman.
Ps: Sorely miss Johnny, he was indeed the best.
Always loved Michael's work.
I worked around him on the film The Island back in the summer of '79. He was a real gentleman. After the day was over, and we at the bar, he and grip named Chunky Hughes would sing English drinking songs. They knew them all and never sang the same song twice.
I Love Michael Caine!
I want to see segments with Karen Valentine! I loved watching her in Room 222. 😊
Would love to see more of her; but: NOT on that tv show!
Nice to be able to watch when latenight was great.
Always love watching my daily fix of Johnny...back when you never knew how big the size of his lapels would be night to night. 😅
Im a 26 asian and i watch him almost every day, johnny is a legend world wide! He allowed me to discover amazing people like bob hope, rodney dangerfield, don rickles, frank sinatra and his rat pack, and many more. Absolutely the best tonight show ever!
@@J35Y1Ah, well, a young lad with common sense and smarts, well done. Johnny never disappoints, lots of his guests have become legends, many of them got their start on the tonight show.
I’m an old man, no regrets here, I started watching his show when he started in 1962, in my humble opinion only Craig Ferguson and Conan O’Brian are 2nd and 3rd best hosts, best regards to you.
As far as push-ups and running Mr. Caine, a veteran, served in combat in The British Army during The Korean War.
About Communist Government he said,
"Seeing first-hand how the Chinese used human wave tactics, he was left with the sense that the Communist Government did not care about its citizens. Having been previously sympathetic towards the ideals of Communism, Caine was left repelled by it."
Johnny was the Goat. No one comes close. I stay up every night to see him and when he was not in that chair it just was not the same. He had to be the great to get viewers to stay. King of Comedy for sure. Even hosting the Awards he just was so funny.
Both Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon are still missed dearly to this day!
No kidding.
Michael is an outstanding actor. Always enjoyed his movies.
On the upcoming occasion of what would have been Audrey Hepburn's 95th birthday on May 4th, I'd like to make a request for Audrey's appearance on the Tonight Show (March 30, 1976), and for two reasons: It was (I think) the only time Audrey appeared on the show and, according to Carson, it was the only time he ever got flustered and nervous in front of his interview subject. To paraphrase Johnny in 1987: "[Audrey was] very... not aloof - proper is maybe the best word... and I didn't know how to handle it. I don't know why. I was babbling and I completely fell apart."
Michael Cain has stood the test of time. Still great in any role.
Oh yes, I love suspense thrillers also.
Get a load of that guest lineup! For 1974, it was a banger 🎉
And they're still married today.

Thats cool that even people from the other side of the world like Carson. You got good tatse sir.
Reminds me of Norms jokes at the end of his show
I wonder if they rehearsed the standup jokes. Michael is a great actor and was doing very well but kept looking back at Johny to see if he was laughing.
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Wow! My cocaine..😂
I HAVE NO DOUBT THE BLACK WINDMILL WILL COME UP ON MY FEED....THANKS TO YOU TUBE
Michael looks like David Letterman when he laughs.
This toothy smile is like John Lennon’s.
Did Michael steal CNR's glasses?
With his wit he could have actually done well as a comic !
For those, if there are any; who might get twitchy after this: as of this post Sir Michael Caine is still with us today at Ninety-One Years Young.🧸
Those were the days. A friendly comment about women & no one needed a safe room.
Michael caine another great gypsy entertainer
At 75, I watched Carson a lot, but I miss Leno, late night now is self- righteous host trashing people
I just watched this with the video posted only one minute ago. A record?
Yes!!! 😅
Don't give up your day job.
He's still good at self-deprecating jokes though. 😂
@@jeshkam He does have a very good comedic touch....
When these shows were entertaining, not political bull. Todays late night shows are disgusting.
