    Disappointed doesn’t bring up the fact that it can poison you in an entrapped environment. That’s what happened to a band member in a coffin who wanted a dramatic start.

      I once put a chunk of dry ice in acup of water. Once it all evaporated, the water was carbonated, so it would work, but make sure to use a tall glass, because the bubbles could splash some of the drink out.

    I cannot believe that you are advocating the use of dry ice in drinks. Yes, carbon dioxide aids the producing of carbonization of soda, which is edible, but, the amount of carbon dioxide in a carbonated drink and the amount of carbon dioxide in a drink from dry ice, which is a solid, which means that it is greatly concentrated, varies greatly. i learned about dry ice from my neighbor that lived diagonally across the street from me. His father was a scientist. We had a company called Liquid Carbonics in Tewksbury, where I grew up, for many years. That is how I learned about dry ice. And, I was taught that it is very dangerous. And, to never touch it, and, I mean, never touch it. I would touch a drink with dry ice in it.

    Is dry ice the cheapest way to collect carbon

    • @brainseason850
      @brainseason850 Před 3 lety

      Carbon is usually collected in great abundance from plant fossils since plants are alike to most other life on earth a carbon based life form. However, dry ice as an efficient way of collecting carbon for general purposes such as generating energy seems considerably useless to us. Since dried ice is solid CO2, usually this undergoes subliminal decay back into its gaseous state under normal temperature and pressure. This CO2 gas is useless to us because CO2 is of lower energy and is usually a product, first it would be necessary to break the bonds between the oxygen and carbon atoms - hence, requiring energy before it can even be produced. I’m nice enough to blindly consider on my first account with you that’s not what you had in mind...

    solid Carbon dioxide

  • @turbo3089

    • @steffenfrost995
      @steffenfrost995 Před 2 lety

      To make things solid you make them colder (freeze them). You can make anything colder. (Side note look up absolute zero).

      I didn't know it is simply frozen CO2 until today. I think it's a little crazy it can be frequently refered to as dry ice, with no mention that it is frozen carbon dioxide.
