You're so welcome. I have watche this at least 10 times and I never do that. I'm sure I saw a tear forming in Ricky's eyes as there was in mine. Don't let them change you. Oh and being grounded(being earthed) is a thing. You can get a pad for your bed which has a wire runs out of your window and down to earth. Or you can go barefoot. Can't wait to hear more and wish you all the love you deserve.

You're a dark horse! Such an amazing, strong performance, you need to reach at least the live shows(I know it's already been recorded as I saw the battles!) because most of the remaining members of team ricky are not very good!

One of my favorites this season, she has so many textures to her voice from the soft and sweet notes to the powerful raspy stuff. I really hope they kelp her around.

La Roux has no range at all, just one octave from what I've heard. Rachel took that song and made it into a James Bond title song.
Elly Jackson has a vocal range from F3 - G5 - C6, making it 2 octaves and 4 notes. Spread your wrong rumours somewhere else.

Hi Rachel. Just wanted to say you are SERIOUSLY THE BEST SINGER I've EVER heard. And I'm not just talking about The Voice. I would BUY that song and I hope you get to make an album. STUNNING voice. Keep going no matter what!!
Gave me goosebumps, have replayed it over and over , gets to the soul . please please someone back Rachel and release this as a single! Ricky felt depth of this singer so uplifting!
Rachel started badly, it has to be said. Her pitch was a little off and she was using way too much breath, which caused her to lose control, but what a transformation from about 22 seconds on. 16 years old? Yes, the opening could have been one of a thousand teenage CZcams wanna-bes, but Rachel just got stronger, showing more and more as she went on. The high note [please DON'T ask me what it was!] at 1:15 was beautifully articulated, and right on pitch. At 16 it may be easier to hit that note, but let's not take anything away from what was a gutsy and passionate performance that really hit home at the end. A good addition to Ricky's team.
+periurban Yes Peri, but the fragility at the start worked so well. I loved the wobbly-ness. I don't think you you can call it a bad start... fragile and delicate more like. Awesome! I think Jolan has his work cut out now. My money is on the two of them in the final.

Kevlar Oxy That's fair. I think it depends on how pitch sensitive the listener is. I am very pitch sensitive. It's generally the first thing I hear (from a technical standpoint). But I take your point, some listeners won't find that a problem.
I'm not sure she has the experience to reach the final, but happy to be proved wrong!

+periurban In my humble opinion, off pitch (barely) or not, her amazing tone came through from the beginning and grabbed all of the judges instantly.

I was pleased to hear she was doing something different with the song right from the beginning, but I really didn't expect to be so blown away by this performance. She got better and better as the song went on, brilliant.

Such a touching performance. I have to completely be on board with how Rachael started off weakly but she made a sudden transition with such solidification, texture and simplicity that it seemed to astound me and the audience. At such a very young age, she seems to emphasize every stanza in the song with the right note. As if I was brought to her world and knowing her story. One of the most captivated heartfelt performances I have evet seen. Her ability to reach that high notes will be the one separating her with most of the other talented contenders.

I competed against her during a competition called teenstar which she won, even tho she was a few years younger than most people like myself. She was amazing then and she's amazing now. Just search Rachel ann wicked games and you'll find it. Well done Rachel Ann!

This is an absolutely incredible performance, one of the best auditions I've ever seen on television. That Rachel Ann didn't win the competition or even get through to the later stages was a big disappointment. But I hope she continues to find herself and records songs which match her incredible voice, control and range. I'd love to hear them.

My take on it was that they saw how emotional Rickie was about her singing., and they didn't turn, because they were giving her to him. Will looked like he turned at the last second just to be funny. Some joking type of thing going on between them. Anyway, that's my take on it.

Love this song! Elly would be proud of this girl. Singing it in such an amazing voice and in her own style, that's how a proper cover should be! Even Elly sings her songs in different ways with improvisations at different shows.

Isn't there a full video with her backstory and the judges' comments after??? I haven't been able to find it. This girl has everything it takes to be a star. When she went to her fourth octave I got chills and goosebumps. Incredible vocal range, the greatest range since Mariah.
