  • Friends in this video I will be replacing the front hubs on this 2012 Ford F150
This is only a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, but the procedure is pretty much the same as a 4-wheel drive. The only difference being you will have to remove and replace an axel nut.

Another very tough job, everything in this truck is so badly rusted.

Hi Rick, I like your video and just finally subscribed. I know everyone has their own way of doing things. So with that in mind, How I remove stuck wheel hubs off my GM is I use the air chisel to work it back and fourth a few times . Starting at the base of the hub where the bolts go in. Hit it sideways with the air chisel and move it about an inch and then back again. Then it will just fall off after a few times. All you have to do then is pop the inner race part out which is easy to do.
I love how your using anti-seize which I do a lot also in the same fashion as you. Since I am in the rust belt anti-seize is my best friend (besides harbor freight) :)

Yes, there are many ways, I used a method similar to yours on a jeep recently. Thanks for subscribing.

Greasing the knuckle and the hub buster are great tips.😊 Could not fit the truck to the garage i think 🤔

Thanks, I could not have had enough room to swing the hammer if I brought it inside. I have much bigger garage on the other side of town where my x wife lives. As part of the divorce agreement, I can still use the garage, but her gentlemen friends were using my tools. When stuff started to disappear, I got everything out of there.

@@xaviersarchives8133 if you're careful and precise you can break any part on a honda with slide hammers. probably my favorite tool.

@@e.v.a.l.s Don't be ridicules. There is only one way to use a slide hammer. I have removed countless hubs over the last 50 YEARS and I can tell you a slide hammer almost never works. Yes that is correct I opened my first shop in the 1970s. You have NOTHING on me friend.
