Tim is actually good at dips. In his battle against Daniele Pauli, he completed 15 reps with 60 kgs added weight, without stopping to rest. So I think Tim would definitely beat Romano at dips. I don't know about the pull ups though. He is fucking heavy for his height but he is also fucking strong. If it would be a heavy weight-low rep set, it would suit him better. If it would be a "not" heavy weight-higher rep set, i'd say Romano could take that. I think Tim is strong enough to pull up but he may have problem doing with the "correct" form because of his size or he may not have the endurance to do it for a lot of reps.

Romano deserves that title. He's absolutely strong. Only thing is those events aren't well balance. Front squats to clean and press is fine. From clean and press to dips, that's too much fatigue on the delts. These guys are phenomenal. Well done Romano

2 amazing athletes! Although Romano has always been my favorite in any battle, Daniel did very good aswell. Also loved the sportsmanship between the two of them at the end. This shows that they are truly great athletes!

Kotally Savage Well Eddie would pretty much destroy anyone here based on pure strength. But He doesn't do endurance exercises. If the weights are within the limits of the challenger then who knows. But Eddie won't break a sweat at any weight these guys use.
TheSayNoToDrugsGuy Who said no endurance? You are the idiot here for twisting my words. I said Eddie doesn't do light weight long sets. He can deadlift a shit load of weight. But he won't be lifting the weights these guys are using for too long. He would lose muscle doing these exercises, which would be kind of cardio to him. Strongmen try to maintain their mass in order to remain as strong as possible, and high reps with low weight is a no go for them.
Saikat Kar eh you're wrong he would lift these easy for the 15-20 reps. Let's say the first exercise was bench press 100kg, he has done 53 reps with 100kg in a row, he's not going to struggle for 20 reps with any weight these guys use. He did 7 reps on incline with 100kg Dumbbells in each hand. Deadlifts 400kg for reps. On strength wars guys do around 200kg deadlifts for reps. Eddie hall would beat anyone in strength wars and he does have endurance, people joke "he could run a hundred metres without dying" but strongmen could pull tons of weight for that distance
Kotally Savage Again, I never said Eddie Hall doesn't have the endurance or won't win against these guys. I said he won't like lifting the weights these guys lift, due to this being detrimental to his training. I am pretty sure benching 100 kilos for 50 reps isn't going to get him anything in his sport. Even if he can do it, he won't. And he would weigh way more than these guys here. If they give him bodyweight muscle ups? What happens then? The only thing I am saying is that this competition is not for Strongmen. They call it Strength Wars but that doesn't mean they're checking pure brute strength. Otherwise all the competitors would be Strongmen here.

It was closer than people seem to think. With a bit better C&J technique, Daniel had a real shot at it. He's good.
Majin Snake I think it's just a difficult move, which he didn't do enough to be really efficient.

I'm sure it was because of the front squats that Gildner had a hard time with the clean and press. He had a much harder time than Rengel, and his legs were probably very shaky afterwards. So he barely pushed with his legs to lift the dumbbell. Technique is easy to pick, even on the first try or two.
bakters daniel would have been more competitive if he had better front squat technique. Didnt keep his elbows high enough. More leg drive in the c&j would have helped too
wandererstraining Romano did "clean and push press", Daniel did "clean and press". I think both of them have room for improvement in this move, though very strong guys often choose the push-press version, so maybe not.
Regarding front squat, I agree. Daniel was obviously much weaker there.
