I've been wanting to challenge my skills with the new Canon R50 and try out these lenses for this great camera.
All I can say is I'm impressed with the results and these lenses performed admirably well in low light and challenging situations.
Come along and enjoy Sydney, Manly, Mrs Macquarie Point and the VIVID Festival with Sydney and the harbour backdrop - if you get the opportunity make your way there as it is a content creators paradise.
Summing it up
If you’re looking to get into content creation on a budget then the R50 is a fabulous choice with the 24.2MP sensor, 4K no crop video, enhanced autofocus and interchangeable lenses. There are many settings and features that will allow you to grow into this camera and enhance your creativeness

I shoot with the R5 and the R7 yet I keeping this guy up due to quality and light weight.
For videos, I am honestly trying to like this camera as a former m50 user. But so far i cant get myself to believe it is good enough. So far my osmo action 4 camera can do similar 4k image quality as long there is decent amount of light. The footage is also stabilised and wide enough at 11mm equivalent. Its a shame canon markets this as a vlogging camera but it comes with a tight kits lens starting at 18mm.
This is an entry level camera and does come with limitations. It's how you overcome the limitations and work with them. It is a tool and takes time to learn. In this video I pushed the limits of the R50 taking shots of the Milky Way. We're all at different places in our learning journey and we all grow from learning from each other. BTW - I have the M50 too (plus M100, G7X mkii, Sony ZV1 and the original EOSM)
I can't see any 30 fps in 4K , 120 and 60 fps in FHD .. only 25 fps in 4K , 100 and 50 fps in FHD are showing... If you can help me , please inform , where to find these settings ???
I know what the problem is and explained it in this video czcams.com/video/qVRL1UGx78Q/video.html 5 Essential settings. You'll find your camera is set to PAL Mode whereas the additional video settings can be seen in NTSC mode (where there are 10 settings). Thanks for watching as I appreciate it
Is kit lens enough for night street photography? Aperture is too small right?
