I had a 1330 and a 3.91 gpa coming from a college prep school and didn’t get in. I got deferred and then denied.

Oh dang, what college did you end up getting into, and do you think it happened for a reason

I ended up going to Fordham in New York. I got into Villanova’s engineering program, which if anything is more selective than Babson. This led me to believe that lots of schools that are around this acceptance rate (15-25%) are a toss up when it comes to who gets let in or not. I ended up transferring to my state school (UMaine) this semester, because Fordham was pretty expensive. Honestly, when picking a school, forget about the title or what sounds good. Go where you feel good about, what makes the most sense financially, and what makes most sense in your gut. Any degree you get will be good so long as you excel in what you love doing.

Possibly this could have contributed, but I’ve seen other videos over the length of mine and they were accepted

Some honest words for you: First of all, great video, very good effort. Babson, to be known, has relatively lower requirements for GPA and standardized tests than schools in the same tier. However, at the end of the day, your stats are just the minimum requirements for acceptance. To be honest, your stats are a bit low, but that's OK if your story is convincing and attractive enough. Throughout the whole video, your explanation of your entrepreneurial journey is a bit plain. What I meant is that your description of your business is very subjective and general, and did not include any statistical detail and a clear explanation of how exactly your business works. In one word, your video is lacking solid evidence, which should a crucial part of your video. Simply saying that your business is sold for 250% isn't going to make anyone believe. Anyhow, I still hope you find it useful whenever you want to shoot another video for college transferring or whatever it is.

Looking back on this video I completely agree 😂 I was too proud of making the vid that I didn’t realize how cheesy it was. Some other schools that I wanted to get into I took more seriously and it paid off (however it didn’t fit the budget) Ended up studying computer engineering at Umaine because it was cheapest and made the most sense
