Crawford's underappreciated skill is his mastery at fighting equally effectively from either stance. He can test your responses and set traps, arrange counters, or exploit any weaknesses that you have because of his switching and ring IQ since he has a full arsenal. I think that you have to KO him inside 3 rounds, before he has you downloaded. He is like Mayweather or Loma, if they could switch stance. That's scary.

@tonyamartin1425 Boots definitely passes the eye test. When I first saw him a few years ago, I thought that he had GOAT potential. But Crawford has fought the best in 3 divisions, is 2x undisputed, and has stopped everyone he faced at 147, including Kell Brook Shawn Potter and Errol the Truth Spence. Boots still has never contended for a title and doesn't have a signature win. They have faced significantly different levels of competition. The verdict is still out on Boots.

@tonyamartin1425 Boots is really a junior middleweight. Crawford faced Gamboa two weight classes ago. And Bud's resume is real. Mean Machine was a dawg, who dropped Ortiz Jr. for real. Boots is hypothetical. We won't know what he can do until he fights a decent fighter. We can debate all day about how Boots will look when he stops fighting mediocre opponents, but we really don't know. Cody Crowley isn't a heck of a step up fight for someone who wants to be on the P4P list one day.

Jeff Horn & Shawn Porter will always make fights look ugly, but Crawford was able to look good in both those fights. It's hard to look good against roughhouse styles like those but he was able to do it. He said he was struggling to make 147, I wonder if he'll carry up his power to 154.

For sure, his power will be even better at the higher weight, he trains with middleweights and light heavyweights for sparring. Madrimov is a good fighter, tough as nails but Crawford’s iq, speed and timing will see him through.
Crawford is easily the best out there. It's hard not to mention him among the greats. Though black balled and kept away from the spotlight so long, it's hard to believe he was able to accomplish what he has under those circumstances.

@@tonyamartin1425 Touche' Short answer is, he hasn't because there is no great fighters in this era for him to face. Still, if you are advanced in watching boxing, you can see that his skills, versatility and ring IQ will put him in the convo even if there's no greats for him to fight in my opinion. But I see your point, maybe him and Inoue being the best in this era doesn't qualify them for honorable mentions.

At this point in Crawford's career his not gonna fight every 4 months mate...we r lucky enough if he fights once every 9-10 months... Nowadays fighters not like the old school greats in the 60s-80s
