• THE BEST 5 MINUTE FIAT...
Parts:
Air/Oil Separator O-Ring - 04893446AB-004 (FCA/DODGE Dealer)
PCV Valve - PCV1010DL (Autozone)
Brake Cleaner (Any auto parts store)
The purpose of the Air/Oil Separator is to purge crankcase vapor back into the intake system and into the engine while allowing the engine internals to breath. The O-Ring that is replaced during this service is used to seal the AOS to the Valve Cover. This o-ring is known to become dry and crack, leading to oil leaks.

No,Thank you brother! I appreciate the support!

After listening a few times there is still a whistle did the engine code for low boost went away?
@@enesboss7193 it did! you might be hearing my intake induction noise?
Never heard an Abarth whistle like that 😂 😂 sounds like it has the whistle tips
What type of problems did you notice to make that repair? Starting or crank issues?
My abarth is only at 45k and I’m already having boost leaks. Definitely gonna try this out
check the vacuum line as well!! let me know!!
Mine is on 106k miles and I'm suspecting a leak, but I can't hear any whistes and performance still feels ok. I can't tell if it's a leak or if the guage is dying as it seems to get to about 0.5 bar then stop, yet the car still accelerates smoothly :/
Another great video 👍🏽
Appreciate you!
Nice vid, what codes were you getting Athan? And are the codes now gone?
It was a boost leak code. Dont remember the exact code. Yes this fixed it.
where can i get air intake and intercoolers
Good shit brother. Doing this on mine asap, creeping up to 70K soon. Sub'd!
Let me know how you like it!! Appreciate you brother!!
My girlfriend Abarth does not have any issues but I think I might do this anyway 👌👍
Hi..nice video...but after i clean it with brake cleaner and change the o ring... put everything back correct..I noticed a white smoke from the exhaust pipe...like a lot...is that normal? or something is wrong...?
Update??
Can I use carburetor cleaner?
I’m getting P04DB will this vid help?
My car I just bought it last week is a 2013 and it’s throwing a p0299 so I have a leak somewhere for sure and it’s going into boost limp mode and I cannot build more than 9lbs max, but also that front hose and hose on the right aren’t connected, but where they’re supposed to connect to there isn’t an open hole, so I think one of the previous owners took it out of the loop for some reason but I’m wondering if it is the cause of my boost leak?
Having same issue rn. Did you ever come to a resolution?
Hey buddy! What intake have you got into the cowl there?
I have the "Holy Cowl" by ATM
I wish the AOS was as easy to remove in the 124 as it is in the 500. PCV is easy enough
I don't have any boost leak code but see a little oil leak in the base and well of cylinder 4. Do you think that I can only change the oring? Will solve the problem?
Yes you can change just the o ring
nice! how often do you recommend to clean AOS and replace PCV valve?
Thx for watching bro!! id say around once every 4 oil changes or once every 20,000 miles.
Why not go for catch can instead? I also had issues with my AOS on my TJET and in the end i just installed a catch can.
I think I might switch to a catch can. I noticed a lot of oil in my intake
@@abfkwbdkdmggfilw-uv5bn i installed one 2 months ago and now my intake is clear... I seed 150-200ml of oil on my can after driving for about 5000km
Couldn't help but notice that in the videos I don't hear your Abarth's every single road noise. I just bought mine with 61k on it and I'm not sure if its normal but I hear every pot hole or Ridgemont the road. Is it normal for the Abarth's suspension?
My 2017 40k miles has terrible road noise. I took apart the panels and added some cheap Amazon branded dampening and made a huge difference.
Are you on the 17 inch low profile wheels?
@@chriswilson9331 i did, not i have 16's, sight improvement, but still too hard
@@vincenzomilillo4835 It's normal to feel every bump, we have very stiff suspensions on our Abarths
What were the symptoms? Smoke in exhaust?
Yes, usually white smoke, or in his case, performance loss
ok
Or you can just delete it. It’s an expensive part from Japan and you need a catch can but it’s doable.
Serious question, I thought even non-chlorinated brake cleaners damage plastics and break them down?
I believe you are correct
Probably carb and choke cleaner would be a better option
What's with all the valve train noise in your car?
Probably from this multi air brick, my 500L sounds like a little sewing machine even after a brand new oil change
Intake lol holy cowl makes that sound lol
@@THESPICYMEATBALL93 I don't think you know what valvetrain noise is. I'm referencing the insane ticking at like 8:50. My abarth ticked but nowhere near that loud.
@@eeyore.official I hear what you mean now mine does it too buddy
What intercooler are you running and do you like it?
ATM! I do! does its job!
175,000 on mine and I've started smelling oil. I'm betting it's this little bugger.
Id clean it for sure to see if this helps! also, pull your spark plugs and see if there is oil on them, If so, your valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. That could also be the issue.
Why does your car make such a whistle when accelerating? Personally I think it sounds horrible like something is broken and it would really get on my nerves
It is the turbo its self along with induction noise. I Really? I enjoy it! Thanks for watching bro!
@@athanfelactu9679 What turbo and intake do you have? Load of people here in England have the Forge induction kit but they don't make that whistle sound that yours does
@@SChapps I have the ATM howl Cowl intake, stock turbo with tork tune
@@athanfelactu9679 Oh okay it's just the different intake design that causes the noise then, thanks man
@@SChapps Thats my thought as well. Ofcourse my man!!! Appreciate you! Have a good one!
What does AOS stand for ? Future note remove all watches and bracelets and rings when messing with dirty parts ! Very distracting!you cracked your AOS mount (10 mm) fix that please ! O ring will last longer if you put silicone lubricant lightly on it !
It stand for "Air oil separator"! Thanks for watching!!
Jesuscristo. Can you clean the engine and the compartment. Thank you.
Yes you can.
This pcv oil separator has absolutely no connection to your boost pipes. If you ever find 1.5bar of boost in your oil breather system then something is seriously wrong Ng 🙈🙈🤣🤣
Btw the whistle is probably just the Chinese intercooler but I'd definitely be tightening all of the BOOST pipe clamps as it does sound suspiciously like a boost leak
Good job but every time I think about buying a used Abarth....I don't.
Seems like replacement parts are a bitch to get so I always pass.
Shame
how about a pair of gloves? =D
Fai prima a mettere un decanter in alluminio e tubazione silicone
I will probably do that in the future once i get a bigger turbo!
@@athanfelactu9679 lo puoi fare tranquillamente anche con il turbo originale perché il decanter di serie non è proprio performante
@@hondamugenjr1197 Good to know! ill have to look into that! thanks brother, appreciate you!!!
@@athanfelactu9679 👍💪
That is one gay little car
