This is the new Asus Zenbook Pro and I wanted to find out why this was selling out everywhere. Now after using it for the past week, it is clear to me. This could very well end up being the perfect laptop for certain types of users and there are main reasons. Let me explain. So this laptop comes in a few configurations, but they are all pretty stacked with a powerful processor and graphics card while offering a very accurate display which really intrigued me. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on this 14inch OLED laptop (UX6404) when the folks at ASUS agreed to send me one and partner up for this video. Of course, all opinions are my own, but we want to keep this completely unbiased, so I am going to show you actual testing. I have a lot of tests to show you, and some really might surprise you.
Please comment below with any questions you might have. Thank you all for watching! I appreciate you!
Disclaimer: This video was sponsored by ASUS. All opinions are my own.

Hey Mike, that's a great review. I'm planning to buy one soon, but I'm worried about the 120Hz display potentially draining the battery fast if there's no dynamic refresh rate. I did some research and found that VRR requires WDDM 3.0 support. I'm wondering if the ZenBook with Intel Iris graphics supports this feature. Your response is appreciated! 😊

The 1 thing that really sucks is the power delivery. USB-C can now go over 200 watts for just power delivery, snd it is widly ignored. Having proprietary power adaptors is really inconvenient, especially since none of them are GaN and really bulky and inefficient. And both USB-C ports on the same side is annoying.

@@camblack524 This same point is bothering me as well. I hate proprietary bulky chargers. But as I understood the combined power usage of CPU+GPU is max 125watts so normally I think you can get away with 100 watts USB-C unless you are really pushing it 100% for a long time. In another test they measured average of 80-90 watts while gaming so in that case it would be just enough.

I haven't had any issues with switching off but mines not the newer pro model. Only issues I had was bottom gets hot and the Asus dual screen special software sometimes is buggy where the quick switch or window split options doesn't show. Other than that, still happy with the computer. Lenovo came out with a Yogabook 9i dual screen computer of you want two full screens but the Zenbook Duo is a more convenient package with a tactile keyboard, track pad, and screen built into the laptop without having to carry extra items.
