I call this the beautifully tortured version. I think it’s better than the recorded track they did with a bit of a faster lighter hearted melody. Both of their voices are just amazing, deserves to take center stage like this version allows.
yeah, heard the non-live version last night and they both sound great but the live one has a whole different feeling.

stumbled on your channel last night surfing for more REN reactions I had not seen. I have become such a fan and only discovered him a month or two ago (time flies). I love the songs but found that I love to see other people discovering them as well. Such varied reactions. I will say that to me a starting place would have been "Hi Ren" as it gives a much more comprehensive view of who all Ren is and what all he has and is dealing with. Very impactufl. That is the one that took off out here on the internet. Then he dropped "Sick Boi" also very powerful but more so after starting with Hi Ren. (good to see background and some continutiy) then .. I just discovered this song and love it... but have no idea what I would have thought of it if I hadn't already been down the path I had taken. Maybe try those and listen again. Keep on. I discovered way too late in life that there is SOOO much more music out that that I haven't even come close to hearing. Grand adventure.

I love how they’ve used some dissonance to make some of the harmonies seem uncomfortable.
I think it’s about the way we use meds to stop feeling.. but also about other addictions. Whether pills, screens, food, etc. We find ways to avoid feeling our feelings through distraction and dissociation. It’s all subjective though.

I love how their voices sound so beautiful together. It’s such a simple song, but that’s what makes it so good. Chinchilla has her own channel too with her music videos on it. It’s worth checking out. I have a question though. What are your dogs names, you haven’t introduced them yet (I’m a dog nut!). They are absolutely beautiful. Best wishes 🏴

Wow what you said in the end was very powerful and I can relate some habits along bad are a lot safer than others I just had a 10year realaps last night of what I think you were talking about. However that moment is gone and we just have to keep pushing forward 💪 🙏 💯. Even body has vices and we all need a crutche. What ever gets tyou thought the day. Even though Brighton is a relatively posh upmarket kind of place *, it still has a LOT of crumbling and poorly used buildings.
* in comparison to my neck of the woods and *most* of the north of the country.
I hope Ren never sets foot in a studio. Abandoned buildings, open spaces and the streets are his studio.
