That fast drum beat is a classic "Thrash beat", but you're just not into those beats Ryan, which is understandable. They're not meant to groove as much as they're meant to be fast and aggressive, and when they break back into the groove beats, they compliment and intensify each other. But being a Bay Area Thrash Metal drummer, I'm super happy you guys dig Thrash. 😁

Mitsos Destruktör good album. But the production sounds like a demo.

@@nuklearskorn8841 Yeah but think that Schizophrenia is their first (real) step to become thrash legends. It was raw, at times groovy, simple and alot of times pretty technical. Yes, Morbid Visions is putrid and raw but so is Bestial Devastation. Schizophrenia just combines everything...except good production, which to me is completely fine.

This is the first song by Sepultura that I heard when I used to sneak out to the living room late at night to watch the original Headbangers Ball on Mtv ❤

I’ve been listening to the Arise album since 1992 and I still don’t get enough of it. Best Sepultura album IMHO.

Keep circling back to this reaction. Takes me back to discovering this for the first time back in the early 90’s. What a time to be alive when all these metal gods were unleashing these masterpieces on the masses. Horns up from Texas🤘 keep doing y’all’s thang

I just happened to come across this reaction video, due to your reaction......I not only gave it a like, I subscribed to your channel. Anyone that can appreciate the hardness of metal like THAT, deserves it.
I’m a 55 year old Army Veteran that grew up a Metalhead, though I appreciate many genres, Metal will always be part of who I am.

Loved your video! Just a warning for you though...Sepultura is the gateway drug to "anemic" blast beats...you can see how the tempo changes in the song will eventually pull you into that transition as well. Another note...these guys did this in the 80s better than anyone else and they did it without having to tune down their guitars! Plus Igor Cavalera DESTROYS Lars Ulrich, there just is no comparison.
