Winter hiking on the Uplandsteig

- It is the last days of the year and winter has finally arrived. I have a few days off so I take my backpack to spend some days outdoors.
The region is called Upland (Highland) and is part of the Rothaar mountains / Sauerland. The Uplandsteig is a hiking trail that leads 64 kilometers around the winter sports resort Willingen. I hiked the trail in four days.

The snow looks amazing, here where I live it has been snowing but it goes away after two days unfortunately. The landscape looks awesome and so much fun to hike. Very cool video ✌🏼

Hi, I was wild camping there. if you plan something like that you should know that it is not allowed in most countries as for example in germany. That means pitch up the tent late and strike it early, leav no traces / waste, avoid nature reserves... It's not exactly relaxing!
