- I bought this cheap S-Class a few months ago. I got the previous owner to a very low price and I couldn't say No. I have always loved the old Mercedes but did not know the amount of problems it came with...

This was perhaps the world's first car with ventilated seats. It had things like cruise control. Distance habituated. It’s also said that it is advanced that you may need a Mercedes specialist when certain warnings come up on the Display

There are those who say that this was a low water mark when it comes to the Mercedes S class. The Say, for example, that they made cost savings when manufacturing the car, unlike, say, the Predecessor. and that there are certain things from simpler Mercedes models in the car. so it was probably not considered as luxurious
Thanks for the feedback! This generation definitely has its flaws, but it is also so close to my heart. I think I can make it a very cool car for many purposes such as a comfortable daily, but also a fun track car. That will definitely be my goal for the upcoming videos with this car..
It was and still is a luxurious car,as good as any generation of S-class.There was no cost saving when it comes to technology.Superb engines and high tech electronics,which still work today even if the oldest cars are now 25 years old.I´ve owned many Mercedes cars starting from W123,and the W220 has been as reliable and well built as any of them.
I wouldn't buy one with visible rust though, you can easily find one without visible rust
at least in Sweden
Sen would also recommend one that has less than 124,000 miles on it

Bro this generation has the worst electronic gremlins...after W140 which was built for pure reliability.
Mercedes shoved so many electronics in this generation that made it prone to failure, cost cutting during designing this generation also added to its downfall.
W221 was much more reliable compared to this one.
Thanks for the comment bro! Yeah, you might be right! I have never owned a w221 before myself but have talked to a few people and they have told me that their W221 was mostly at the shop due to their electrical issues. I have been having a good experience with the w220 and had 0 electrical issues as of yet (knock on wood). The engine and the transmission has also been flawless as the M113 and the 722.6 definitely hold a good rep! We will see how long this will last thou ahaha. Keeping an eye on some w221 for cheap in case one pops up for sale 🤣
