- Since CZcams has done the CZcams Rewind I figured I'd do one of my own rewinds. This is footage from backstage and on stage of when I met and performed with Vanilla Ice. I did an acoustic guitar cover of Ice Ice Baby years ago and then got a phone call from Rob, Vanilla Ice, and we sang together in FL. This is some behind the scenes footage. He’s cool I have one of his drawings my sister gave to me every year he visits ocean city Maryland and eats at Phillips seafood house and of course they put down the brown paper table cover and every year when he eats (alone which I found funny) he draws some kinda of vanilla ice looking dude with all the chains and the huge baggy cloths and always signs it with his real birth name he can seriously draw hell of an artist and who’d of thought one day I’d have one
I've known a few people that have met him who said he was the coolest guy. A family member was an event organizer years and years ago who worked with Vanilla Ice once and said he was one of the most down to earth, easy going people she'd ever dealt with.
Its rare to see an artist genuinely enjoy a cover of one of their own songs this much. Ice seems to be a humble human being and has aged well, happy inside and out. Huge respect to both artists 👍

I'm 40 years old so I was there when Ice came out and caught fire. Had Sug Knight not did what he did Vanilla Ice would of had a nice career. Anyways, this is the best version of this song and I respect Ice for admitting it. Marty brought this song back to life better than ever.
