  • Scarborough Fair Harmonica Lesson: The harmonica tabs in C are definitely going to help you on this one! (Scroll down if you can't see them yet.)
Thank you so much for watching this free harmonica lesson on how to play the song Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel. In this free harmonica lesson video I am using a C Harmonica in 3rd position, playing in the key of D minor. The Original recording is in the key of E minor (Dorian Mode,) You would need a D harp to play along with recording, using the same holes as this lesson demonstrates.
If you like this video, please let me know by liking it, subscribing. Also please visit my website and sign up for my email list for special news: True-LP.com. And consider buying my album Breathin' when it's released, hopefully in 2015.
Of course I'm also in the Twitterverse @Funkyharp and on Facebook. Drop a line and let me know what you think!

Good one Luke, I had never thought about trying this tune on the harmonica. Thanks again for all the help you give all of us interested in learning harmonica.

FunkyHarp I know I'm not Ron but I would like to request something from Blues Traveler. I feel like John Popper's harp parts are very different from the blues stuff that youtube is inundated with and thought it could be a great change of pace! A lot of his stuff seems incredibly difficult so I wanted to leave the song choice up to you Luke. Thank you so much for what you do. You have taught me how to play the harmonica!

KidPokerX24 Yes, KidPoker! That's what I'm talking about....Maybe we start with
Run-Around? Or do you have another favorite?

FunkyHarp Run Around would probably get the most views and benefit the most people. My favorite is probably "But Anyway" but that song (especially that solo) is a beast.

Thanks for the lessons. I've been playing for about a year now and learned a ton from your videos.
I have a request for a lesson on "You found another lover (I lost another friend)" played by Charlie Musselwhite with Ben Harper. Cheers!
