In this video I'll show you how you can allow a user to choose the data they want to see on a chart. You'll learn to switch the chart view based on user selection. I'll show you how to add the developer tab to Excel, how to use form controls and how to group radio buttons together in case you have more than one set of option buttons.
We'll also cover how to use the FILTER and the SWITCH functions in Excel for the data preparation. And finally I'll show you a trick to make your chart range dynamic to avoid gaps or missing data in the chart. This way your chart range and chart axis adjusts based on the size of your data.

Thank you Leila, what was new for me was the grouping of the option buttons. I've been using option buttons for a long time and never knew you can group them on one sheet. This is definitely a game changer for me.

If I had to do this data presentation my first thought would probably have been a pivot table, slicers and a pivot chart, but this solution is indeed very inspiring. I learnt many new formulas, which I did not use so far. In addition I also included radio buttons to choose how I want the values to be sorted (so I put the Grouping function you explained at the beginning) instead of hard coding it into the formula. And I named most of the ranges you used. Thanks for sharing

Awesome video!! Even when I used the FILTER formula, I used the OFFSET function to create a named range. Didn't know I could use the '#" in there. Thanks!!
That dynamic data source is next level. 👏🏼 I wish there was a way to dynamically associate underflow and overflow histogram bins to cells calculating outlier thresholds (quartile 1 - 1.5 interquartile range or quartile 3 + 1.5 interquartile range).

I'm not always sure how to even ask google the questions so, I can find the video that you have undoubtedly already put out. How do I move the chart to a different page? I don't want all the data to show. I just want people to see the charts while I click through the Option buttons. Preferably in the same workbook.
