Hi friend, I have an X-H1 and would like your opinion? I work with documentary and on many occasions, camera in hand, uncontrolled light. Is it worth keeping the X-H1 or the GH5 a more practical, functional machine? Or is it possible to have performances on the X-H1 as good as on the GH5?
Motif Films wow... you asked a very key question. The Gh5 is a Swiss Army knife, in a sense it can do a lot of things well. For instance IBIS, slow motion, flip-out screen, continuous recording, HLG and 10 bit recording. However it isn’t a master of any of the main things cameras should have like auto focus or color. Also color wise it cannot hold a candle to Fuji even the XT20 has far superior color to it. I would choose the GH5 if I was in need of a camera to do it all and I wasn’t concerned about color or any one particular area.

Did you notice any difference between x-t2 and x-h1 in color especially skin tones? From all the sample photos and videos that I've seen (and there aren't many that compare the two) I'm seeing a slight difference and the x-t2 seems to be better when it comes to skin tones. I'd appreciate it greatly if you could reply.
Well I think in the video I use Eterna simulation so that made a difference but otherwise no.

Hi Karlon. So.. if having a x-t2, do you think its worth upgrading to a x-h1 or stick to the x-t2 and buy a panasonic G80 for video?
Jessica Cronholm Actually the Xt-2 is enough for video unless you are primarily doing live events that require more than 30mins of recording. At that point you can simply buy a external recorder instead of a different camera.
