Naaa. You just need to fool with the settings abit to match that xt2. The fuji seems cooler in wb. The opposite to gh4. Gh4 has kelvin settings, and S curves beuilt in. One can also customize the profiles. I still have this camera btw. Never lets me down.
I actually have mine too I will pull it out soon.
Hi Karlon, I have a question! I want to use the MixPre 6 II, as a USB interface with my laptop for when I'am giging. I'am testing it by connecting to my Stagepass amp that then connects to the speakers. I have tried the output on the mixPre by connecting a mini-jack to L and R XLR by both the Headphone Out and also the Stereo Out connection. Reducing the output volume by 10db for the Stereo Out helps it not distort. But the headphone out is also a possibility. Obviously on a lot of USB interface's they have 2 1/4 inch outs. Not convinced this is possible with the MixPre. I also have odd things happening that the vocal mic input into my DAW, Logic comes out with a big hissing sound, This is driving me a little bit crazy. Any Ideas!
I think you will have to rephrase the question. I am getting that you want to use it as a pass thru to connect it from your laptop to speakers while playing live is this the case?
@@BYCWELL Hi Karlon, thanks for responding. I reset MixPre back to Factory Settings and is now working. I have created a preset so should be less hassle to get going in the future. Most of these USB audio interface will have 1/4 balanced output I believe, however as you know MixPre does not. Will look for minijack to L+R 1/4 inch cable to accept the stereo input into my PA. This setup will do for now and improves the the overall EQ and reverb etc settings. Cheers.
Love the recommendations. I will have to pick up that light soon. Thanks!
Do you have any advice for someone just getting into street photography My plan was to just head to times Square and try to be as outgoing as possible and see if tourists will let me take photos of them
Definitely want to see the behind the scenes 👍🏾
👏🏿 NEVER STOP
AMAZING 👏🏿
Even though im definitely not photogenic. Im in love with your work. Keep up the Great work. 1Day the whole world will know your name. I promise 💯
Hello! I’m shooting real estate video with my Xt2 but I need a camera to improve my dynamic range to get detail on the outside of the windows. I’ve seen black magic has 13 stops of dynamic range but I can’t find any data on the. Xt2 to have a clear comparison. I’m thinking about the XH2s which has 14 stops, but I’m trying to figure out if the black magic makes a good job on improving from the Xt2 so I can save some money. What would you recommend? Pd: I’m shooting F-log to max my DR on the Xt2
Well when was shooting with the XT2 I was getting 12 stops it is a very capable camera what lenses are you using?
Be present, give your best in all you do out of habbit: it changes everything. Know your/you're love

Man those shots look excellent nice work 👍
Thanks 👍 appreciate you…
You are absolutely AMAZING! One Day I'm telling you the whole world will know your name. 💯
Hello Karlon, how are its been quite awhile. As usual, you take beautiful shots. I brought the fuji xs20 myself.
:-) Glad to hear man!! It's been a while indeed! Hope all is well.
The title 😀

Excellent work CWell!!! Wow... Straight out the Camera!!! Very impressive !!
This was great !! Well done Karlon!!
appreciated!
Thanks for your video, it's very informative. What are your thoughts on Zoom F3, is it a worthy competitor?
Hi Kalron, thank you for this video! It was really helpful (: I am a singer-songwriter and musician who wants to make an album that some of it based on field recordings, such as guitar & vocal with one mic, string quartets and brass ect.. that will be filmed and recorded in interesting locations (such as abounded military bases from world war I or old churhes around europe). The idea is to catch an authentic preformance with the acoustic of the places. My dilemma is that I want to keep the option of recording in a home studio and to be able to mix and arrang things by myself on the DAW (I'm using Ableton). I though to buy the Apollo Twin for studio purposes and the Zoom F4 for field recording, I heard it got really nice preamps yet the Sound Devices is better in quality. So I'm thinking instead, maybe to buy one of Sound Devices interfaces, such as the Mixpre series and use it for both studio and field recording purposes. The sound quality is in my top priority, I'm thinking of filming the videos with Iphone 14 and buying AT4050ST (for filed/ansambels) & TLM 103 (for studio) mics. What do you think would be the most wise investment in my case? Thank in advance
To get top notch quality I would say the Mix Pre especially with its feature set and plugins (hands down).
@@BYCWELL Thank u Kalron!
beautiful shots, light and colour. I wish i can see your full video. Oh yeah, is it lecia or leica?
Your are correct with the spelling thank you!
Congratulations on the excellent work. Your video quality is amazing. I wanted to know, is it possible using the Sony a7IV, to record in ProsRes RAW on the Atomos Ninja V? Grateful.
I will have to look into that for you but I believe so.
@@BYCWELL Thank you.
Thanks
Karlon, would the MixPre 3 II sound as good as an audio interface for voice overs compared to the Apollo X4?
actually it will it's more than enough 90% of my videos in the last year and a 1/2 are the mix pre 3. Speaking of which In need to do a new one soon.
@@BYCWELL Thank you Karlon! Looking forward to your next video. Blessings to you. :)
This is pretty interesting. For simple videos that don’t need a lot of adjustments a lot of cameras are more than enough especially when you’re controlling the lighting. Would like to see how they compare in an outdoor setting. The BM 6k is probably best for people who want to really push things such as using Braw and heavy color grading.
This app use to be good back in the days I use to love it alot but the greed killed the app and the drama :(
One of the most disappointing things about the WG2 was the major issue that they send out so many to CZcamsrs to review, so the CZcamsrs mainly missed the fact that if your talent turns around you lose signal. The amount of reviews that didn’t mention this. Sponsored reviews might as well be called ads these days. I’ve ordered the AVX today after the WG2 had some weird robotic noises going on in the last recording.
How have you found the reliability after a year? the AVX is also line of site, but since it's 1.9GHZ vs the rodes 2.4GHZ, do you find yourself dropping signal often?
Thanks for the video. Might be a newb question, but do zebras show on this monitor as it would on the cameras screen? Thank you.
As far as from your camera I don’t believe so. However it has its own zebras different levels too.
Well done. Great review 👍🏽
Thank you! How do you think the sound quality compares between avx and the go II?
Hey man! I would say the AVX is soooo clean and crisp it sounds significantly better than the Wireless GO II. Would the average person say wow hmmm I would say 6 out 10 people would. If I were to rate the 2 I would give the AVX a 9 and the Wireless Go II a 7.5 I hope this helps.
Awesome video C-Well. You explain everything very well. I am a Musician as I purchased a Sound Devices MixPre 10ii for just the outputs and Preamps alone. The MixPre 10ii let' me plugin my monitors via XLR mini, It’s Definitely a Beast. I installed the Musician Plugin as well. I would also Love to see you do a video or videos (I know it is a lot) explaining how to use the MixPre as an Audio Interface, Streaming, Zoom Conferencing, Podcasting, and with a DAW. I use Reaper as a DAW, and would like to use both at the same Time. I would like to accomplish All of this using my SM7B for vocals and SM57 for acoustic Guitar, with the Musician Plugin. I also purchased a JK Audio Daptor Two (Wireless Phone Audio Interface) going through my MixPre 10ii and have accomplished some great audio cellphone interview recordings. Now I need to get a decent camera to do video with syncing the audio.
The Mix pre is such an amazing device sometimes I think there's sooo much out there but the Mix pre still proves itself.
@@BYCWELLI agree. I am trying to get Good with the MixPre, the DAW, and Recording Video. I have been a Musician for a long time as I have always had been recorded by Engineers, however now, I am trying to be the Engineer. Little by little, I guess.
Just picked one up, great video man!
Congrats man and thank you. More to come!
Thank you for sharing, I definitely plan on getting my ninja soon!
Hi, can you tell me if atomos shinobi 5" works fine with canon eos m5 and m6. Thanks alot 🙂
I still want one to use with my og bmpcc and feature cameras I rent or buy..
Hi I'm a long term stills photographer looking to start 'convergence' and get into video and know I have much to learn. Just bought a Sony a7iv and planning to use that for both stills and finally starting to explore, learn and develop skill in videography too. From prior work in AV I have some knowledge about storytelling and sound recording, but most other things are new to me. Heard many good things about the Ninja V as a monitor and recorder and realise that many used this with a Sony a7iii. My question is will it really be a benefit me with my new a7iv, which can already record 10bit colour? Would I be best going for a Ninja V or saving cash and opting for a cheaper HDMI field monitor eg like something from Port Keys in your opinion? Apologies if it's a dumb query. I realise in time that I will need to upgrade kit in many areas - lighting, sound a gimbal (I'm thinking something like a DJI Ronin RS2) etc etc. I also realise that I need to 'walk before I try to run'. I'm lucky that I already own a lot of good Sony glass, tripod, mono pod, fluid head, various clamps, grips etc also a new fast PC, lots of disk space, several mikes, radio mikes, recorders. Eventually I plan to edit with DaVinci Resolve and buy the full Studio pack once I outgrow the free capability of v17. I currently subscribe to Adobe's Photography pack for Photoshop and Lightroom (@ £10pcm - here in UK), but paying an ongoing £50 pcm to add all apps like Premier and Audition seems a stretch vs using DaVinci for an eventual one off circa $300.
Well let me say this. A monitor is super beneficial but I feel that using your camera alone without it is good for someone just beginning. If you can get work done without it and be amazing when you do get it, it will push you to the next level. If I were buying a monitor today and had to choose with the future in mind I would buy the NINJA. Although you aren't using proRes it is an amazing codec and adobe and black magic support it and also to save about $200 compared to the Port Keys I say get the Ninja V.
Subscribed for the BMPCC content.
Good review. Do you own any of the studio tools to deal with multiple cameras?
Yea I have the Atem Mini and I have access to one Studio Pro camera.
You do you editing on iPad?
Yea sometimes, do you?
very informative! thank you. did not know about 32 bit float. i own an apollo x4 but might grab a mixpre 3 for tape syncs.
Yea the Mix pre is a beast you can even use it to record live bands and what not. The little device uses on board plugins maybe I need to do a review on that too.
Great review Karlon! I was unaware of Blackmagic's Multicam capabilities within DaVinci Resolve. I"ll have to check that out. Thanks.
I think he was talking about combining it with Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro HDMI Live Stream Switcher
Why you dont test in street nigga
What channels do you go in ?
great video...what was the intro video music bdw?? deep
I will get back to you. Gotta check.
so, which one is sharper in 4K, and 1080p? vThanks
I'm getting really close to the switch, thanks for the video!
There should be 90 days of trial, check it out! Also believe I will show some more videos with me editing in affinity.
Thanks, I will have a look at those videos. I'll check out that trial version soon. I'm going to do a full wipe / OS reinstall on my Mac and testing out Affinity first makes sense. Thanks again!
It's great that there is something that does all the most-used stuff that Photoshop does but for WAY cheaper. For anybody who isn't making a full-time living from graphic design or photography, why bother with Adobe anymore? Adobe makes great products but most of us don't need all the bells and whistles and the subscription model sucks.
Exactly!
Seems like I'm having a hard time finding a group!
A rip off
