Be good if they got rid of all the guide ropes and replace it with the plate that sits under the polls and you can peg them in that way

Great, honest review. Could you drill through the bottoms of the poles to have a “stupa peg” style set up with legs going through the poles?
@@paintandpinotinperth7868 the pole bottoms are round to save space so they fold up nicely and Velcro flush on the support struts, it would be a great idea though

I had An expensive Sunseeker awning done by rhino racks and the zipper is the same and I got mould.

What do they retail for? We are actually in the market a new awning.
They usually start round 1,100 but they are often on sale for round 900
Have Darche fixed the water issue in the newer models?
What water issue?
@@4WheelsOnTheRoad Water getting in the bag and making the awning mouldy.
@@NasTimeAdventures ahh gotcha, no it’s no fixed yet, as I mentioned in the video it still gets wet occasionally but only with splashing water not with just rain

Are you sure yours is the GEN2 as your system is totally different from mine which is only 2months old
The GEN2 is actually different.
Yours has the black hinges where as the GEN2 have a raw finish on the hinge and also cast hinges on each arm
@@maverick0185 I was told Gen 2 when I got it but who cares really! Its an awning that's 270 degrees and it works great!

I was curious as to who had which model as they are both very different
Biggest issue I see with this awning is the multiple pieces of canvas seen together. Has there been any leaking thru stitching?

Hey mate. Zero leaks. Its one entire piece of canvas. You do get rain through the gaps where the arms attach to the base plate though, but you get that with most awnings
