    I’m currently unpacking it with some hot coffee in the morning watching this video and I swear u have the best tutorial for this game and I’ve had to rewatch this twice bc no other channel explains as well, even rules that are confusing in the rule book I understand now thanks to this…appreciate this content 🙌

    I made my own work around for the hired gun ranged attack thing you were talking about. Yeah it's kinda unclear and doesn't make any sense.. so what I do.. The hired gun will move to try to get into range of it's priority.. like he would move towards Batman.. when his movement is done, if Batman is still not in range, but another character is in range, he will fire on that character.. if more than one character is in range, he will fire at the one who has the highest health (or whatever makes the target a priority).. If no character is in his range, he will fire at Batman and take the penalty

    Priority target is just a tie breaker if all things are equal.
    Gunner will prioritize attacking twice over moving and attacking, and they will also prioritize optimal strike range.
    In your example, the Gunner will not go out of his way to attack Batman if he can accomplish those other things first.

    weird regardin the optimal strike range. the rules are pretty clear. targeting priority only applies if they can get within optimal strike range otherwise they move towards any other hero they can reach for optimal strike range or within the least penalty to range

    I just ordered the retail version of SotB. I was looking for the Arkham Asylum expansion and ended up having to preorder it (preorders were sold out almost everywhere). After playing TMNT: Change Is Everything and City Fall, I have high expectations for this. Seems like more of the same but that’s fine with me! Can’t wait!

      I haven’t played TMNT, but from my research they should be very close because you can mix and match the content.

    31:12 - I believe you said you cannot spend focus to reroll your hero dice.
    Just to clarify, you can use focus to reroll your hero dice before they have been set and you move on to the next phase. But I think you meant you can't use them to reroll anytime during play or after they've already been used (which is correct)

    • @TheMeepleMarathon
      @TheMeepleMarathon  Před 2 lety

      No I didn’t realize that. I must have missed that in the rules.

      @@TheMeepleMarathon Also around 43:00 you talked about the initiative deck - you leave the card in because even if an entire enemy type is defeated, some other enemies types have abilities that are impacted by the initiative cards of others...such as enforcers getting extra turns.

    Hi thnx for the video, question? Where did you get the 3d printed villain card holders get from ?

    Great showcasing of this game. Makes me really want the all in bundle but unfortunately I did not pledge back when this kickstarter was going on. On EBay I can get the all in pledge for 360usd… do you think this is worth it for this?? I love the animated series and love the idea of this game but that’s a hefty price tag.

      If you Lee a fan of the animated series, then I would say sure. I’m happy with the content I have (core box + stretch goals box). The only thing I wish I had was the villain dice that allow you to play the villains in place of heroes. They were only available in the all on pledge though. It’s a unique system (technically they did it with TMNT first) and a fun coop.

    Something I'm getting hung up on.. In total, each character winds up with 5 actions (3 action die and 2 shared action TOKENS). Do the shared tokens HAVE to be used to ADD die to the pool of a rolled action die?
    Or, can they be used as an action on their own?
    For example, let's say I rolled two single movement die and a single ranged attack dice. Let's also assume I have a single attack shared token (forget the second shared token).
    I use ONE of my single movement dice to get into range and then use my single attack die to attack. Then, I use my SECOND single movement die (assume I KO'ed the first opponent so there's no breakaway) to get into range of another opponent. Could I then use the single attack TOKEN as it's own action to roll the single attack on another opponent, or does it have to be used to modify the first attack? Hope this makes sense.
    I may be overthinking this and the heros actually only get the 3 actions with the shared tokens being ADD dice modifiers.

    On the Enforcer card, it says he get one action. Does this mean he moves if he can't attack and attack if he doesn't need to move, or does he move than attack?

    • @TheMeepleMarathon
      @TheMeepleMarathon  Před 2 lety

      It means he will only move unless he is already adjacent but I believe the Hired Gun card gives the Enforcer a free action when they activate too.

      @@TheMeepleMarathon Thanks! I enjoy watching your videos, really helps learn the game. I feel the rule book is a little wonky. When it comes to moving characters, is a character allowed to move through other characters? I know we cannot end up on the same space, but the rule book says we cannot move through characters.
