A small correction - US too has AC supply at 110V and 60Hz frequency. If it was DC, there wouldn’t be any frequency because DC ideally has zero frequency. India has AC supply at 220-240V, 50Hz frequency. There’s no DC supply either for public use or for transmission anywhere around the world. It’s only use for industrial purpose.
