Hey Guys! Great new FUZZ here, from Chris @PEDALPAWN Head over to their site to check out the specs! www.pedalpawn.com I show the clean up, and the wide open fuzz tone! Enjoy THANKS SO MUCH!
I was practicing/improvising pride and joy for my next rehearsal, and decided to take a break and grab a bite, while checking out a couple videos. Your upload starts and there you are, dropping some P&J-style riffage on the intro... Just couldn't not laugh... Cool video and dope pedal, man. Keep at it.
Some juicy sounds coming out of your guitar! Yes the pedal helps a bit. But it’s your playing that makes it happen. Just add bbq sauce (fuzz) and it helps it.
They sent me this pedal instead of the Texan Twang but I got a discount and have both now.I really just wanted the TT to sound like SRV but I just heard Eddie VH's Jump on the radio and thought the Fuzz along with the electo-harmonix B9 might get that distorted keyboard sound!
Sounds fantastic Nick. I want one but can't do it now. Something tells me they'll be around a while. I've got a Fulltone 69. Had it for a very long time, but it's on the bigger board and I use it with the larger rig which doesn't get much use these days since were playing smaller clubs. This fuzz seems to be a little more tweeked to achieving a sweeter clean up with more headroom, similar to the Diaz pedals. I do have a question tho. Would have a treble bleed circuit affect the way the fuzz cleans up? I'm currently using a V-Treb Variable Treble Bleed Circuit in both my Strata. It has a little trim pot to adjust the amount of volume.just wondering if this will effect anything. Thanks Nick
Sounds great Nik. I can't wait to try mine. What do you think? I know Chris had to put a lot of work into it. I'm hoping it has a little bit of treble booster DNA in it.
THE RIFF W NIK SEVIGNY, ,,,,,,,,, When I turn my guitar volume down on the Dunlop face face pedal or the Original 60'S Fuzz face pedal it "does not" give that SRV glassy texas tin pan alley tone. It only will give you that clean hendrix the wind cries mary or little wing clean guitar sound. ------------------ The Analog Man Sunface and the Cesar Diaz square face pedals when you turn down the guitar volume "will" give that SRV glassy texas tin pan alley tone. Any reasons why you think? ------- What are you thoughts and reasons you think this magic trick only happens on certain fuzz pedals when you turn the guitar volume down?
Not only is that a great sounding fuzz- you've turned me on to a new player! Chris King Robinson! Great playing yourself here to Nik- nice to hear you for a longer time then the normal intro! Amazing tone here! What amp are you using this time?
Man, the "clean" tone at the beginning was worth watching the video, even before the pedal is on... how was the setup? amp, other pedal to boost the amp?
I wanna be a fuzz guy (have to) because all I play is hendrix/srv style but I haven't been able to bond with the few I've tried yet. This video makes me wanna try one more (ha ha) time. Hey, totally diff pedal, but I have a Sabbadius Mr White being delivered tomorrow, anyone tried one?
Yes, the Mr. White is a great pedal. I have one. Right now, I am trying to keep my pedal use down to one pedal. That is a goal of mine. One pedal on at all times. So for me, I found that the best for me right now is one based off of the Dallas Rangemaster or Hornby Skewes Treble Booster. If I didn't have one of those, it would be the Mr. White. Then I use a fuzz and Funky-Vibe as needed but the treble booster is on all the time. It is a very clean boost.
@@millstap I am a minimalist when it comes to pedals too. At volumes that doesn't disrupt the neighbor hood I like the Klamac El'Mo boosted by a Lovepedal Elephant man. The few times i play out where i can turn the 63 vibroverb ri up to where you and Nik does i like the duellist. Still working on the mandatory fuzz pedal slot.
The Riff w Nik Sevigny I’d love to be able to try out one of your fuzzes, but I’m in the U.S. I used a BC109 in the big enclosure for years, before switching to the Deep Trip BOG. It took owning, trading, and searching for years to find that BC109. I might put it in a smaller enclosure, with a buffer. Your pedal sounds excellent, and reminds me of my BC109. Do the silicon transistors you used get along with unbuffered wah-wahs?
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 thank you! And also, I bought Pedal Pawn Texan twang, can you give me tip where to set it on signal chain, after or before fuzz? Thank you!!!
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 really nice breakup to begin with, you musta rather dimed it? I have an old SR myself from 71 of course it depends on the tubes, and mine are not early breakup, but i’d have to REALLY push the volume get in that territory …
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 thats the first thing i tried , there is no noise when i use it alone with batteries but every time i plug any pedal powered with the power supply the fuzz gets noisy even though it runs on batteries
@@hamzanabil8822 What kind of noise do you get ? I get the pedal the other day , it worked fine at home then I tryed it in a club and it was just impossible use it . A very loud noise when I pressed the button , more like electric current noise then a hiss but very very loud . I didn't have batteries with me though . Then once back home it worked fine again . Best pedal demo I've heard in a while
Awesome medley of epic riffs, bluesy motives and improvised lines. Thank you for sharing!
Thank YOU for watching!
Axis And Hey Baby licks sound divine. This pedal and your playing and truly amazing. Made me have some GAS man !!!

Smooth stuff. Sounds gorgeous

Your playing is awesome Nik!
Thank you sir!
Dude I get mine today! Can’t wait to get off work and get it on my board!
Where did U order this from? Anywhere in the USA??
@@rickraney3939 Pedal Pawn has a Reverb store.
I ordered one too. It’s my new favorite fuzz pedal. It has a really great, musical tone.
Awsome sound and playing man the tone is awsome. What's the amp your using ? Been searching for that tone for years.
Nice! Love mine!

Wow. Nice play through NIk i wish I knew someone close that had one so I could try it before I bought it. Anyone? Lol

It's a great play. How good is it compared to the original silicone fuzz face?
I just got mine yesterday and it’s incredible. One of the best pedals I’ve ever played. Texas Twang is next on the list.
killer!!!!!!

I use a treble bleed aswell!
Good sound, good guitarist.
Thanks a lot!
I noticed you can get some of that king tone soloist sound out of it.
How does it compare to your original square faces?
Great demo - amazing tone. Has it got a place on your board?
I dont have a board. These days its just a fuzz and wah on the floor if anything. It can hang for sure
Sounds great Nik. I can't wait to try mine. What do you think? I know Chris had to put a lot of work into it. I'm hoping it has a little bit of treble booster DNA in it.
It sounds great! It likes a treble bleed. Stays big when you roll off
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 Great. Now I don't have to put one in my guitar, lol.
Have you tried the Sabbadius Mr. White pedal? If not, you should give it a go. Killer pedal from Argentina!
Yes. Look for a video with Sabbadius real soon!
The Riff w Nik Sevigny Cool!

It seems those glassy tones are due to a treble boost before the clipping circuit. Maybe you can try a 10 band EQ before those pedals.

Just a super

This is a banging pedal in every sense. This seems to be an early model. No LED?
Not sure. Its cool though!
Hey! Great tone and playing, thanks! Do you play with an attenuator? Cheers
No sir I don’t I just crank the amp up
Ha thanks for the reply! Sounds terrific!

It was just a super reverb and a strat

TheMicAmused 68 super 59 strat
Add the texan twang to it and its got insane sustain.
Can you tell it's Silicon vs Germanium? Suppodly it's a square face clone. Thoughts?
Yes. Audibly it is silicon
