They finally came to me, as they were soooo dirty and they are so outdated. Since our childhood in Turkey, everyone washes carpets on the street. we grew up with them . We traditionally washed the carpets, but we had a lot of fun. We used to have a lot of fun with the brush and foam in our hands. my all-time favorite was to squirt water out of the carpet quickly with a stick.
    Our mothers used to wet all the children with water and finish the job.😁 but the work you do is professional. may Allah ( God) make it easy for you 🙃🌹👍🏻

      A specific step like that is irrelevant because of the final cleaning in the centrifuge. The treatment with the rug shampoo and water and squeegeeing and all that is to free up the dirt and stuff deeply stuck in the rug. If there's a bit left behind on the surface, it gets washed off in the end anyway.

    So satisfying!! I like the fact that you kept going until all the dirt was gone (not just a set routine, but each rug requires a different treatment).
    Also for all the people talking about water use, how else do you get all the dirt and soap out? I have a rug that I would love to have cleaned this way.
    It’s not visibly dirty, but I imagine after years of not being washed and being in front of a fireplace it must be mess.
    Using the water to flush the dirt from under the rug is amazing as well as that heavy rinse on top.

      As for water use, I can't speak for this business, but I've detailed for more than one car dealership, and different places have different methods. • @xdragon2k

      I was thinking instead of putting the rug on a flat surface, put it on a grate so the dirty water can just go downward through the grating instead of sitting back in the rug itself. Then use a shopvac to suck dirty water from the top too (those that can't go down). That way you don't be transferring all the dirt from the center (or outside) back onto the rug.

      Dirt is held in suspension in the liquid, pressure washing would likely damage the rug while just pushing dirt deeper into the pile. Using a surfactant is the best way to clean dirt and oil off textiles, there's a reason why you don't wash your clothes using high pressure jets.
      Quite frankly even using this level of scouring is pretty extreme, while a rug is made to be durable this is very extreme.
      Ideally this would best be done in a very large vat that allows water to circulate around the rug, passing through several rollers, that bend and agitate the fabric without scouring it.

But brings up a question: about how you squeegee. We were told to ALWAYS go from the inside out and NEVER edge to edge, to make sure that any dirt was pushed outwards and not back over parts that had been cleaned. Watching this I'm wondering why you wouldn't do this. Seeing you start at a dirty edge and push all that filthy water over the entire length gave me shivers. Not complaining though. Just wondering. Perhaps it is just years of getting yelled at coming back to haunt me. lol

    @gegwen7440 Před 2 lety +5

    To my mind once the cleaning process has been done on the floor it should be hung to rinse, this will allow the dirt to escape with the rinse water as its clear that a good deal of dirt is being held under the rug as you try to rinse it on the floor.

    • @TruClean
      @TruClean  Před 2 lety +13

      Rug would weigh in at 400 pounds wet and stretch the rug which wouldn’t be able to be repaired after stretching being hung. This process is the best for Rug washing to keep its integrity.

      @@gegwen7440 yes some rugs that have a very solid construction can be washed directly on the grates. We don’t typically do this because we see shadowing of the grates in the rugs and after washing thus we clean them on the white paneling on top of the grates so soap and water is evenly displaced.

    I’ve always been curious, I follow you guys on tiktok and i wonder why you stay on the solid surface whilst rinsing? Wouldn’t alot of that back side dirt has rinsed down and not stuck to the front side if you’d rinsed over the grated surface? Just seems this might be more time saving. I also am not a rug cleaning professional so what the heck do I know haha but figured I’d ask anyways. Cheers and absolutely love watching!

      Lol, I also wanted to know this exact thing!
      They've got a lovely plastic grated floor there, why not just place the rug directly on that?
      Dirt would flow right through!
      I'd kill to have a cleaning floor like this! I've cleaned my own rugs a few times, and having this setup would just make everything SO much easier!

    • @bigman9490
      @bigman9490 Před 2 lety +20

      My first guess is weight and not wanting to damage the rug. If you put it on a grated surface, it would help with removing dirt, but you also put more weight on less surface area of a rug. It seems to me that it may damage the rug since they often have to step on it while cleaning and you don't want the grates cutting into the rug in any way. Im not a professional either, but thats my two cents.

    • @boomer1794
      @boomer1794 Před 2 lety +7

      If you look closely, the entire place is grated and there are white sheets that have been put on top of the grate. I imagine this is done so viewers see the dirt come out. That is, after all, the satisfying hook.

    • @nocturne2029
      @nocturne2029 Před 2 lety +6

      They probably WANT the rug to float a bit. Forcing the dirt down through the rug is probably harder than letting the dirt float up out of the rug, which can only happen if the water isn't draining downward.
