  • Listen to a summary of the Automatrics June recovery operations whilst en-route to search out yet another stolen 1 ton dumper.
    We were contacted by a plant hire client reporting a 1 ton skip loader dumper stolen. We immediately alarmed the Automatrics MTrack and within minutes received a GPS fix that was less than one mile from the customers offices in Milton Keynes.
    The customer took a drive to the location showing in a small light industry estate. Unfortunately the machine could not be seen.
    Automatrics sent a finder to the site to pick up a radio signal just emanating from a locked industrial unit. The finder called the police who when they arrived were shown the radio location coming from inside unit 37.
    Police used their powers of entry to break into the building. The Machine was found inside with several other suspected stolen goods, including welding sets, Wacker plates, motocross bikes.
    Thames Valley Police sealed off the business unit as a crime scene and tenants had their tenancy agreement withdrawn immediately by the landlords.
    Police questioned a Polish company driver who turned up at the building during the recovery, He confirmed they traded between the UK and Poland and he has been asked to attend the station for further questioning, arrests are expected to follow.

      It's not a traveller site, it's a business park, Even if it was a traveller site, the police have in each area a list of each site's requirement for attendance to prevent tension between the police and the communities. Even the worst sites will give certain members of their community up if the crime is serious enough. There are many sites that give no trouble to the police, or the local areas, some do anything to be left alone and leave others alone too. These are usually small groups of no more than 1 or 2 families and often they are much older.

      definitely has the potential to be a popular TV show, has the combined suspense / satisfaction of a police show combined with those storage container auctions. Because you never know whats going to be inside! On a TV version of this they could possibly both interview the victims and chase down the tenants of the storage places too who are presumably the thieves.

      Good and bad from every country? That simply is not true. You may be unaware of recent developments in world politics but Donald Trump made America (states) great again. It was previously not a country one would refer to as a "great" country but after he took the office of President, he immediately began the work of making America (the USA) great. Again. It was hard work and for quite a while things were rather touch-and-go but he finished his grand task. America (the United States of) is once again great. As we are now great, it cannot be said that we are bad. Bad people are not great and neither are their countries. So next time you make such a broad statement about bad people, please remember that in America (USA! USA!) we are all great and therefore good. Especially the whites.

Your king is well protected, and your pawns are controlling the center position. Now imagine your opponent thinks hard about his next move, takes a deep breath, and then brings in his cousins from Serbia. They throw the chess board in your face, rob you, and tell you that chess is for communists. You didn't anticipate that because it's just not cricket.

    Hello,
    I appreciate watching you run stolen equipment to ground. It is interesting to see what the police need -- or think they need -- to get the stolen property properly recovered. [I refer to proper "probable cause" for search warrants.]
    This particular video is a bit funny because the door lock was so destroyed in order to gain access. I do not gain unlawful access to places myself. But I have watched videos of breaking and entering shown which help me understand how the criminals carry out their dirty business. What I found funny here is that a metal coat hanger and a stick may have so easily opened the door without damage. The door handle being a lever, reaching through the mail slot of the other door and hooking and turning the inside handle may have opened the front door without damage. [I admit that some locks prevent rotation of any lever if the lock is engaged. I have seen however a number of visibly-safely-locked places which are not safe whatsoever.]

    it had to be recovered on a vehicle transporter.
    within 10 minutes they were contacted by tracker to say that their system had detected the car moving without the engine running.
    As someone else has said - with insurance company payouts being so low it may be worth the price to have the vehicle found and recovered.

    Please tell me the cops took advantage of the gift on a plate and waited for the thieves to return for the night shift, or at least checked through those bags in the "bedroom" for ID.
    They could properly solve and prosecute for at least a dozen crimes, as opposed to just ticking them off as solved because the goods have been recovered.

    OMG! The unnecessary damage they did to get in there, the poor landlord will have to pick up the cost of the door/lock repair. I'm a locksmith and I can tell you just from watching that video that I could have gotten in with no damage to the doors whatsoever, and changed the cylinder on that lock for a fraction of the cost that will now cost to repair/replace.

    • @TherealElliot
      @TherealElliot Před 6 lety +6

      @Johnny Ericsson It depends on each circumstance, in this case the police had the landlord on the phone, so he would have authorized me to act on his behalf, I would have picked/snapped/pulled/drilled the cylinder, changed the cylinder and billed the landlord 20 for the cylinder and 50 for my minimum hours labour and given 3 new keys to landlord or police. The damage to the lock case, doors, strike plate and keep + the labour to repair the damage those 2 police officers did, will probably cost 400+ , which the landlord will either have to claim on insurance (probably not a his excess will be in the 500 region), or just payout of his own pocket, which he's probably going to have to do for the securing company that comes round boarding anyways. If no stolen goods were recovered the police are legally libel for any damage they caused, (An ex friend of mine got 2000 off the Met for smashing down his work door after a report of a funny smell.).

      TherealElliot understand where your coming from, but owner rented 2 thieves. If deposit and security rent was secured, where money will come out of. Unless locksmith was called at same time as cops, would still wastes loads of man hours waiting around.

    • @serpico1616
      @serpico1616 Před 6 lety +3

      It's not the polices' job to take the feelings of the criminals into consideration. Calling a proper locksmith could have taken too much time or maybe they were all just busy. Also not to mention putting a civilian locksmith in danger. There were beds in that building. Imagine some dude waking up and hearing a commotion at the door and then just shooting through it. It could happen and is obviously not worth the risk. The landlord can easily keep the deposit from the renters to cover the broken door. The landlord can probably also just say fuck off to the renters and keep the rest of their stuff. For you to say "Police, hire me instead" is an incredibly stupid thing to say, just to save random guy a few dollars when lives could be on the line.

    • @TherealElliot
      @TherealElliot Před 6 lety +1

      @@serpico1616 I'm guessing because you used the term dollars you're not familiar with how things work with the police in the UK, each regional police force have their own procedures, I work semi regularly with my local police force and social services on both high risk and low risk jobs (that's why I carry a stab/bullet proof vest in the van), and criminals feelings have nothing to do with it, UK law and legal responsibility for damages does, in this case the criminals had sub let the unit from someone, so most lightly the buildings insurance would be void, there were a few empty units, so the chances are low or no deposit (we're still recovering from a recession, a number of local businesses are renting out business units for just the cost of the council tax, so its not costing them money having empty units they are paying tax on), and under UK law even if the police have a search warrant, if nothing illegal is found the police are legally responsible for any and all damage they caused, so if nothing had been found at this address, the local police force would have been on the hook for the repairs, and that money comes from law abiding tax payers.

    • @serpico1616
      @serpico1616 Před 6 lety

      I'm pretty sure I understand all you are saying, and it all makes sense. And as far as I know, it's all the same here in Canada. Minus the renters deposit money, as we haven't gone through a recession (yet, knock on wood). But the only difference I see is that there is no way a cop would just call a local locksmith in this situation. It's just not worth the risk of civilian life, way too dangerous breaking into an unknown building with just 2 officers and a cameraman. I don't think the police would let that situation happen, in Canada or the USA. I would have thought the same about the UK. It must have to do with the lesser gun violence in the UK.

      I dunno about motorcycles, but in countries that drive on the left side of the road, the rear brakes on a bicycle are controlled with the left hand, while in countries that drive on the right side of the road they are controlled with the right hand. So technically you do get left-hand and right-hand drive bikes!
