Hi @Ampcode , you said you received a hike of almost 50% - was that to match your offer which you received from other company?
Also do you have any idea about how much hike we receive for someone as 5/5 rating for someone with 2 years of experience?
That hike was a total of 2 years compared to when I started my journey back from 2020. For someone with a 5 star rating, you can expect anywhere from 13-17 percent or maybe more depending upon the company’s performance for the particular fiscal year.

Bro I am from electrical engineering background. And They tagged me into support project. Even after i have certified in full stack java. Bad luck and my experience is not good in cognizant.
Their management is very bad even we don't have any poc to connect.

But due to demand and supply they may give us work which will not be aligned with our expectations.
But we can always focus on learning skills which we love and find some other opportunities which will suit our needs!😊

Hello! I completed BSc MPCs in 2023 & currently pursuing MCA to be placed well. I got GRADUATE TRAINEE role in cognizant. Its like service desk right! So can i go for it for experience, untill my MCA completes & can shift to IT role? Is it worth going or just leave it & build my skills!? Plz suggest

After a onboarding there was an training on Oracle sql and plsql for 20 days and there are going take evaluation on that what if we did not clear in evaluation ? Will they terminate us
Hello there!
Surely they will not terminate you right away. I still remember my trainings when everyone got deployed on project even if they failed the training exams but got later cleared in 2nd attempt. Just show your interest in whatever assigned to you and you’ll be safe.😊

Yes you can show your interest and do some additional research and learning around blockchain technology to help you get deployed on a relevant project. But since your deployment will be totally based upon your assigned domain and requirements for the same.

Both organisations have their own pros and cons. Since Cognizant is bigger organisation(by revenue, no. of employees), and you got great domain as well(AWS Cloud) just go for Cognizant if it aligns with your expectations.
You can choose Virtusa if the job profile and day-to-day activities is more aligned with your expectations or previous experience if any.

Congratulations for your first project😊. This is very common scenario as you have to first complete all the KTs given by your colleagues and also try to soak up the high level understanding of your project as well as your roles and responsibilities in the initial 2-3 months. Once you are set, you’ll slowly start getting the tasks so don’t worry. Keep learning, keep growing!😇

Congratulations for clearing the technical round. Since CTS is hiring more candidates than ever, it may take some time upto 1-1.5 months to release the offer. As per my knowledge, you’ll definitely get your offer as avoiding profile at the last minute may not happen in usual cases.

hi bro i completed all the rdp and my hcm rejected my appraisal from pat to pa. So do they fire me or not?
Please have a one-to-one conversation with your HCM regarding this issue as he will be the one who will approve your confirmation in the firm. If you are not comfortable with your HCM then you can escalate this issue to your Manager who can jump in and help you get your confirmation.

Sorry for late response. I'm afraid but referral might not get you the job as a fresher in big organizations but if you have basic programming and data skills, that'll be sufficient to get you a good paying job. :)

Hello there, yes English communication is very imp since CTS employees comes from different regions with their own languages so it is mandatory that everyone should be comfortable with english speaking. You’ll eventually pick it up. Don’t worry😊

Yes it’s definitely possible. Have a word with your assigned coach and provide the concrete reason including supporting documents if asked. You can also escalate this to their supervisor to get it expedited.

Not at all. As long as you passed all the mandatory courses/exam, you don’t need to worry about your confirmation. You’ll definitely get it😊
How much hike can you expect if you rating of 3? After one year
Hello there, sorry for late reply. You can expect around 8-14% hike which is average in CTS as per my knowledge. But it also may affected due to firm performance as well as market adjustments. Pls let me know in case of any further queries. :)

Hey, That’s a great tool. You’ll able to explore data analytics concepts, build ETL solutions and there are great opportunities for Informatica. You can also learn Alterix, Tableu so you’ll be having a broader knowledge in this area.😊

Congratulations for the offers! First of all you should give priority to the job profile so pls confirm the domain/tech stack you’ll be assigned by communicating with HR.
If both the companies are offering the same, then you should give preference to Cognizant because of its culture and competitive CTC and timely market adjustments. I’m assuming both companies are giving you the same CTC.

Yeah you’ll definitely get it since due to ongoing recession, there are many client projects stucked in pipeline due to this doj are delayed. You can wait for another 3-4 months and also have a continuous follow ups with HR over email to get latest updates😊

I haven’t seen anyone getting fired and it totally depends on the performance and billability of the employee. If an employee is working for a client or even spends some time on a bench to find the suitable project, there will be guaranteed job security for sure!

Both companies will provide you great experience as a fresher and will deploy you on latest tech stack out there. Just carefully read the job description and see if it aligns with your expectations.
But in my experience, Accenture is a bit ahead in terms of perks and compensation area.

Go for Cognizant it offer good projects as well as quite good salary. Accenture 4.5 too have the same in hand as Cognizant. I have joined with 4lpa and now I am 1.3 yrs exp having 6.9 LPA currently.

Yes you can join as a fresher with the starting position of Programmer Analyst Trainee (aka PAT) and you will be receiving a starting CTS of 4 LPA as per 2022.

Sorry for late response. You will be getting around 50k added to your CTC once you get confirmed in the firm. But in hand salary may vary depending upon the variable bonus and PF deductions.

Since Cognizant is one of the most fastest growing IT services organisation in the world, you will able to learn cutting edge technologies and work for different clients around the globe which will be good for your future growth. Also, Cognizant provides competitive compensations and quarterly promotions and market adjustments to pay their employees as their peers.
The biggest con which I experienced is compromise in work life balance but it also depends upon the project which you will get. Otherwise, there are no such cons.
As an experienced candidate, Cognizant will be good for learning, compensation as well as for the resume!😉

Hello,
It is mandatory to complete the assigned RDP courses within one year to get confirmed in Cognizant. But if you failed to complete to do so, they will give you 4-5 months to complete those pending exams. You will not get terminated from the firm at any cost if you are already tagged to the project which means you are billable. Just try to have a discussion with your HCM as he/she is the one who has capability to confirm you in Cognizant.
