@@harrisonslaton8276 Gravity pulls things towards the Earth. You can prove gravity with the Cavendish experiment, which uses non-magnetc metals. You can prove curvature as well by measuring shadows. Hope this helped.

One of my most wonderful, guiding memories was going to to Christchurch (New Zealand) airport, where _Operation Deep Freeze_ was/is based and watched a _Galaxy C5_ take off for the ice. It was, at the time (circa 1972), the largest aeroplane in the world. And it blew my tiny eight year old mind and even now, it still does. Christchurch and indeed New Zealand, has a significant relationship with Antarctica and if I get a chance prior to my dotage, I will take a cruise there in the summer time.

Just the fact that Antarctica is off limmits rises concern! The maze of paperwork and approvals to go there is set up to discourage and out budget any attempt!! The BIG question is why?? Obviously it is not to conserve the wildlife, because when we look at the lack of concern for wildlife around our planet where wildlife actually does exist compared to Antarctica it raises even more questions? So it leaves us with some possible answers... Either the Antarctica is not what we have been told and the dimentions exceed the size and limmits of what we have been told or they have discovered something that will change our history so drastically that they are afraid to reveal it to the dumbed down masses in fear of revolt. When you look at the logs of Captain Cook that navigated some 65,000 miles and took him close to 4 years and never found one inlet or passage beyond Antarctica is raises many questions? We are looking at three times the circumferance of our planet to navigate the shores of Antarctica????? Something does not add up? Yes sure they have scientific expeditions to certain accesible areas and some Antarctic treaty signatory countries have permenant bases in certain accessible areas leading the masses to believe all is normal and well..

You're correct. I heard it like the contintents of Africa, Asia, and America combined. It may not that be that big, but it's not an island. The scale on maps are way off. This why scientists and government officials are soooooo concerned about it's ice melting. We are not talking about 3 ft of water increase globally, but 30 ft!!!!

David Harris The reason is that there’s little economic incentive for companies to have satellites to fly over the entirety of Antartica taking photos thus is the reason there are blank spots in Antartica on google maps

+Nasty Cupid, they may well be, but as much of the land under Antarctica is under up to 2Km of ice, kinda hard to get to.
The Russians are doing some drilling around "Lake Vlostok" (an under-ice lake), but that's to detect single-cell etc. life forms in the water down there and the chemical compositions.
If they want to make contact with a possible civilisation under Antartica, they'll first have to...... break the ice.....

It is what they have not found that brought “peace“. Scientists encouraged peaceful exploration, and politicians are able to look good because there is nothing at stake yet. If they were to discover a large vein of uranium or huge pockets of oil or some other precious natural resource you can bet this so-called peace would evaporate as quickly as an iceberg in the Sahara.

This is why I looked this video up. Antarctica is what will prove absolutely one way or the other what shape the Earth is.
My thing is, if your compass reads South and then halfway through it suddenly flips to North then there's no argument after that.

Think about flying over the n pole. You start at the equator. 700 mph north and 999mph east. As u go up the earth the speed decreases going east.
So as you approach the N pole your slowing with the earth down to 0 mph directly over the n pole. If you keep going in a straight line to the equator on the opposite side you started from' then now heading south and increasing speed. Now what force would make the plane speed back up or slow it dow sideways ? Which this would also be the opposite direction coming from the first location. Forst going toward your right with the earth and then going to your left with the earth. Gravity pulls down ' not side ways. No force is known that would speed it back up while in the air .
Also as you are approaching the North Pole and could see it out of your front window. You would notice that the right side of the Horizon was going away from you and the left side of the Horizon was coming towards you. Not like normally when we look at the Horizon and it's still because we're still looking at it directly. If you're in the air flying at the North Pole you should see both sides going opposite directions making the earth spin it doesn't matter how big you are you're above the Earth looking at it flying over it on the far right of the your sight should be going away and the far left of your site should be coming towards you which has never been seen. In reality we fly over it and nothings moving at all and our sideways speed is not felt. If gravity is constant holding oceans back from a spin and a vacumn. Life would never be able to fight against that force holding down oceans and emerge.
Take a water tower. Stand next to it. You think gravity is pushing on us and the water tower with the same force? That would make us float then because the tower weighs more . Its density and boyancy that keeps us down.
