    I been having the t1sl disc for about a year came in with HED ardeness wheels and ultegra components. Bike feels a lil slower then my previous entry level bike which was a 2016 gaint contend with pr2 wheel set made by gaint. T1sl feels good but i feel that i need to unlock its full potential i think the wheels may be holding me back. What wheel set would you recommend for fast riding on the t1sl??

    Dear Reginald,
    Last Sunday i was riding in a bunch of 20 riders, most of them using disc brakes (of course!😏)
    When it started to rain, a very strange effect occurred, which Made me think if this could be a topic for your next video: „Disc braking in the wet“
    What happened: Every time we stopped (e.g. at red lights) the Discs of my fellow riders produced an awful, horrendously loud noise! Really disgusting and it was the first time i expierenced that because i am doing most of my training rides solely. My rim brakes on Aluminium remained totally silent.
    If the brakes of my car would make such a terrible Sound i‘d immediately rush to a garage to service them! The noise of those brakes was a VERY loud squealing and screaming. Shall this be technical progress? And we were ONLY stopping down on flat roads, descelerating from 35 to 40 km/h. What about breaking in the mountains?
    I think this is a topic the bike marketing industry remains silent about.
    Disc brakes on Road Bikes? Maybe, but definitely not in wet conditions!

      Difficult to say to be honest, I’d have to sit down and work it out because I have had the frame/some parts for a few years and only recently upgraded the final parts to make this bike. Also some things have changed in price, like the frame is 1000BND cheaper now. And I didn’t pay full price for anything because I run a bike shop so I got a good % off everything.
      I’d say somewhere between $9,000 and $13,000 BND paying full list price. So that’s $9,700 USD at worst? But Litespeed often have sales as do online sellers and local bike shops so if you want to build something like this it will be less. 🙂👍🏻

    • @reginaldscot165
      @reginaldscot165  Před rokem +1

      It makes me angry. 😅 It’s only in disc 👎🏻 and they got rid of the engraved head badge in favour of a welded on one that will just fill up with dust. It looks terrible.
      They say it’s their lightest disc frame of all time, (I checked and didn’t see a frame weight on the website a few weeks ago) well then make it in rim and make the lightest rim frame of all time and I’d buy it!
