@@omarmartinez3950 it’s not the same. We live in the digital era now. Back in the 80’s/90’s you had to go to blockbuster if you wanted a film. You couldn’t just put netflix on. The 80’s just felt different. World is colder now.
The mid 90's is when music died. The overabundance of manufactured boy and girl groups destroyed pop music by saturating the market with soulless, same-sounding drivel marketed towards the lowest common denominator. Pop stars ceased to be artists and became nothing more than shiny faces to put on the CD covers with no creative input whatsoever. If the biggest pop stars of the late 90s had never been born we'd still have their exact same songs just sung by different people.
Jude Cole had his hand a number of great 80's soundtracks. This is one of my favorites. The other would be "Out On The Edge" from the movie Heavenly Kid. Another killer track by him!

i was born in '76 and loved the 80s! music was at its greatest lots of artists making MUSIC, not like whats being put out now. oh yeah can never forget the big hair bands.. haha.. thanks to those artists who made my childhood growing up richer in music! Oh id love to get this soundtrack as well LOTS of great songs on it! I have the DVD as well and it gets better and better with lots of laughs!
It was really the best of times. Born in '75. So glad I grew up in the 80's. The only things I ever really worried about was girls (OMG the girls !) and global thermal nuclear war. LOL
Oh, and the music was friggin spectacular. Pop. Rock. Metal. So many metal bands, and every one of them could play. No name bands. Go grab something at the music store you never heard on the radio and it was almost always great. Soundtracks were epic.
I'll admit that american dad brought me back here. But i've been here numerous times before that episode aired. If you've never seen back to school then you should be ashamed of yourself. Classic movie.
"Good teacher he really seems to care hehe.... About what I have no idea" awesome movie, good song, and it was pretty cool seeing this on American Dad. As for my childhood, Born '93, but raised on 80's movies and music
I loved this movie as a kid. Still do. Rodney Dangerfield was at his funniest in that film. It was also my first introduction to the work of Sam Kinison. I would love to buy the soundtrack, as I loved practically all the songs on it. Thanks for putting this up!
No young person is going to remember this movie, despite it being a true 80's classic, because we were too young. Hell I was born in 94 and I can barely remember the late 2000s. American Dad gives us a good throwback to inspire interest in these 80's movies anyway. I'd think most of the people that remember that time would be happy we're interested in it too. Besides that sequence from American Dad is priceless.
I remember it I was born in 1986. My father was a Rodney Dangerfield fan as I am as well. The psycho history teacher is one of the best scenes in film.
blah bliff I was born in 85 (since everyone replying to your comment seems bound to post their age) and I havent't heard this song until American Dad. And I fucking LOVE IT!!!

i agree
It's the nostalgia that comforts you...the feeling of being a kid again and not having a care in the world..
80s were the BEST. PERIOD.
the 80's were the best. They had some of the best movies and best music. I was born in 84. But i can still appreciate the 80's.
I was born in 80, but I feel like an 80's and 90's kid!
I graduated high school in 1984. Perfect timing for the fun!
I was 26 when I went back to university. This was stuck in my head my whole first day!
Seth MacFarland's use of this song last Sunday is yet another example of how to use 80's nostalgia. It doesn't always have to be a shitty remake.
I actually feel bad for people who didn't grow up in the 80's...missed a great time with great songs and great movies!
No we didnt we can watch them or listen to them whenever we want its called living in the 21st century.
